This museum has some truly wonderful planes and historic exhibits. If you want to see a BF109 with the cowling off, this is the place. If you want to see a truly spectacular F3F replica, this is the place. If you enjoy seeing historical displays that help put the planes in context, this is one of the best places. So,... More

Not so many planes, but numerous detailed displays lovingly filled with all aspects of flying. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.

Throughly enjoyed the museum and the people there. As retired USAF I found the planes a trip back in time! In addition, they had planes and cars from the WW2 era including British, Russian, Japanese and German planes and artifacts. A GREAT stop!

An interesting if somewhat limited collection of aircraft. From the rather tidy undercover aircraft in the hanger to the weather beaten hulks out the back its a fascinating place for any aeroplane fan to take a short break when returning from the south rim.

This may not look like much from the outside but don't be deceived, the assorted air planes and aviation historical items are all top notch. The real boon is that you are free to walk all around these fine pieces of history that also includes some very cool vehicles as well. Kids of all ages will be entertained here.

It takes a 45 minute drive from Flagstaff but if you are interested in aviation, it is worth it. Interesting aircraft and exhibits that you can get close to. Small boys loved it.

My original plan was to visit Bearizona, but then the rains hit hard that morning. So I decided on a Plan B - the Planes of Fame Museum, which I had read about previously but then I was reminded about by a brochure in the entrance of the Williams restaurant I ate in that morning. As an Air Force retiree,... More

On way to Grand Canyon and decided to stop at Planes of Fame Air Museum, had several planes used in movies, showed a wide variety. They rebuild planes here and send several to sister museum in Calif. Loved seeing the planes being rebuilt also. Lots of history here.

There is a great picture opportunity with a giant bronze bald eagle at the entrance and some vintage jet fighters and planes. It is not a real extensive collection but nice to walk around for a few minutes and snap some selfies.
