As one views the enormity of the crater and learns a bit about its origin and encounters with mankind, one stands in awe. An hour or so visiting the crater is a good investment.

I drove from NY to AZ and saw the signs for the Meteor Crater and had to stop. It was a nice, quick diversion that allowed me to see something awesome that has always fascinated me. The observation decks are well set up and well maintained. The museum is beautiful and informative. The gift shop was awesome, stocked with lots... More

This is a two hour visit, three with a guided tour, at an interesting historical site. Some of the info is a bit dated, but overall a worthy visit. We saved the actual crater for last and my wife was stunned by its magnitude. I drove her to Grand Canyon later that day to preserve the spectacle, but overall she... More

This site offers a lot of information but charges a high price $16 for seniors and higher for adults. In my opinion, just not worth the 6 mile drive each way and the cost of admission

I've wanted to see the meteor crater for as long as I can remember, and it did not disappoint. I read lots of reviews first, and cannot agree it is "just a hole in the ground"! It is worth $18 of anyone's money! We had a rim tour (included in the price) with a Native American guide who brought alive... More

Awesome example of an impact crater. Informative short film and guides on site. A bit expensive at $18 per adult. Not sure what cost for kids is. Be careful on the road into the site as free range cattle may be on the roadway.

2nd time here and still a great view, you can see the whole crater from the lookout points and man what a great experience. Park fee was not that bad and you can stay as long as you like.

The crater is an awsome site to behold. You can even see the folding of solid rock that took place during the collision of the metero with the earth. I have visited this site twice and it was most enjoyable both time. If I am ever in the vicinity again I wil again visit Meteor Crater!

We stopped here on our way to the Petrified Forest from Flagstaff. All I can say is Wow ,you gotta see this if anywhere near. This is one of the most amazing places on earth. The best preserved meteor crater on the planet is huge, educational, historical, awe-inspiring, I could go on and on. Definitely should be on the bucket... More

There is no other place on Earth like this. It's convenient; the crater is located just a short 6-mile side trip off I40 near Winslow. Crater is HUGE and the facility on the crater's crest to offer a spectacular view. Watch the movie before seeing the crater; the 10-minute video describes how the meteor impacted Earth.
