This is one of the best state parks in Arizona. The ruins and artifacts are spectacular. The ranger staff assures that visitors get the most out of the park. We visit anytime we are in the area.

The stories surrounding these ruins are fascinating, but more so if you do some reading before you visit. It takes some imagination to visualize what was once a thriving community. All around you are traces of these peoples if you know what is there. The more you know, the more look and see. It is an amazing place in a... More

This was a fun stop to see the ruins. It was clean and well kept. Easy to get around. We did not do the tour so we only looked at one site but still got something out of it.

We reserved a place on the ranger led tour of the Homolovi IV ruins. There are just a few of these tours every fall. The number of persons allowed on each tour is limited to 12, so reservations are a must. We were treated to an orientation at the visitor center by a very knowledgeable ranger before driving several miles... More

There is a fee to see the ruins in this state park. The history of the place might have been interesting, but as far as photographing it, there wasn't much to see.

These are ruins that have been back filled to protect the area for future generations. You will walk among thousands of pottery shards and be able to pick up and handle pieces of pottery made hundreds of years ago. Please put them down and leave them where you found them after inspecting them. We were here 13 years ago and... More

Stayed two nights in our 5th wheel as we explored the area. Happy to have water as well as electric at each site. Often state campgrounds just have electical. Easy pull through sites available. Not far from highway but far enough not to hear the traffic. Very nice rangers, clean restrooms and showers. Would definitely stay again if in area.

Homol'ovi is an excellent state park, one worthy of exploration. The campground has both powered and unpowered sites and is close to one of the ruin sites. The larger site is about a 3/4 of a mile away, as is the visitor's center. Take a tour with one of the rangers if you can. Ranger Kenn gives an excellent tour... More

Camped at Homolovi Ruins State Park one night heading cross country. Pull thru site amounts to a wide spot in main park road. Asphalt and level with wtr. and elec. at site. Plenty wide enough for all slides. Long enough without having to disconnect toad. Very open campground with clean restrooms/showers, but be prepared for no or very little shade.... More

Driving to Vegas slowly from Texas and stayed overnight at Homolovi Ruins State Park. Restroom/shower facilities are excellent for a state park but for $18 dollars a night for a campsite with no electricity was too much for this park. The road to the ruins are locked at 5:00pm till 8:00 am so didn't even get to see them during... More
