I've been here a few times. It's a leisurely paced museum with lots and lots of little artifacts from the area. Not just Batesville. Independence county used to take up seat in a few other surrounding counties so it's a good sized area of history...More

My daughters and I visited as part of a program to highlight historic locations around Arkansas. The museum staff was very enthusiastic and proactive. There was an "I spy" sheet for children to help them explore the museum, with a prize for those who correctly...More

Don't let the word "Old" in Old Independence Regional Museum make you think this facility is outdated and boring. This is truly a first-class museum FILLED with artifacts. The staff was very friendly!

Had a great time visiting this place. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. It is definitely worth a visit.
