Approximately 15 years ago, I visited this railway and to be frank, it was dreadful in terms of the rolling stock and customer facilities. Both are significantly improved. Having read various articles about this railway in recent years, it was time for a revisit. My better half, three year old and me, had a great time at their Industrial Gala.... More

I visited this railway on 1 jan 17 for the Mince Pie Special service and to do some photography This was my first visit to this railway and I had a very pleasant day even though it was raining hard all day. The staff are all very cheerful and welcoming, and at only £6 for an adult unlimited ticket was... More

This is such a quaint little station.. The whole journey from station to station only takes 20 minutes but is well worth it as it's usually a Steam Train Journey.. There is a lovely coffee shop which sells lovely freshly prepared food and drinks at very reasonable prices and there are some lovely sights to keep the photography enthusiast happy..... More

We went as an extended family, with three children in the group aged 9, 2 and 1. The train ride was lovely everyone enjoyed it, the station and the tea room was very nice. We then queued to see Santa, we were in the queue for an hour which was hard work with the two little ones. There was a... More

To start off with there was only a muddy field to park on so when you have a pushchair it is unbelievably difficult to push through. Not a great start. We arrived at the doors greeted by no one! were given our tickets with no other information.. Had to ask whether we could put our pushchairs on.. Where we could... More

I took the grandchildren yesterday to see Santa on the railway. This is our third annual trip and all of us, Kids 4 & 7 mum and grandparents really enjoyed this. Seeing Santa was not rushed and the kids had a couple of presents. If you have to wait to see Santa there is a large model railway to watch,... More

What a pleasant morning out! The cafe and ticket office are lovely with the open coal fire and friendly staff. Our nearly two year old daughter loved it, she was really excited to see the "choo choo!" The hole experience was well organised and really good value for money. The train ride through Chasewater was very scenic. The Heritage Centre... More

We have had a fantastic time at the Santas Special today. We arrived early for our visit and parked on the overflow car park. It was a little slippy due to the weather conditions yesterday but we were prepared for this as it had been well documented on the Facebook page that the car park was slippy in poor weather....
