This stupa was huge and holds the relic of the Buddha who brought Buddhism to Tibet. The surrounding buddhist temples are also a treat to visit.

Traditional stupa with a "plus" for birdlovers: a big "screaming party" of House Swifts above the square and... some birds coming down to roost in their nests built in houses!

It is a average attraction not so popular among tourist. Architecture is good, place is nicely maintained.
