Nice hike

Not too strenuous a hike and beautiful waterfalls. Can't go off the trail. Even though they say you could swim in the pools, it didn't look like we would have wanted to do so.

We enjoyed the exercise of getting out and climbing up and down the steps to see the four different waterfalls. We are glad we did not meet any cars going the other way when we were driving in or out as the road is very narrow, hilly and windy. Only saw two or three other couples and four people on... More

We are actually traveled to coaster Rica in March 2015 the calendar wouldn't let me go back that far. It was my 50th birthday and my husband and 11-year-old daughter came with me for a full week of fun the tour guide put together a special small trip to Viento fresco waterfall on my actual birthday. Our guide Orlando took us (three 40- and 50-something physically fit women) on a hike to see the waterfalls and along the way pointed out a viper and other snakes and spiders that we would have completely missed on our own. We also saw howler monkeys and capuchin monkeys, and of course the beautiful views of the falls, mountains and... More

Explored on our own which was easy with the great map and signage the provide. Everything is well marked and trails are clearly marked. The waterfalls are amazing to see and worth the while to each one. Can easily take a couple hours to enjoy or more. Swam in several of the falls/pools below. (Water shoes a great idea). The... More

Fun experience. We made the drive from Tamarindo in a little over 2 hours with our rented SUV. We were the only ones their so that made it tranquil. Entrance fee was a bit pricey at $16 person.$13 for child/student to see waterfalls (we live near huge falls in the states and it's free - so we are a bit... More

As part of our recent honeymoon, we spent an afternoon at Viento Fresco in Tilaran, June 2016. Orlando was our guide. He took us on a fantastic hike through the jungle to four different waterfalls, and we did some swimming at the largest waterfall. He was a fantastic, knowledgeable guide and pointed out all sorts of wildlife along the way... More

The waterfalls were spectacular and we were glad there was an option to ride horses back up. The pool beneath the waterfalls were refreshing. The guide was very good and showed some gorgeous scenery on the way back up.
