A very interesting cathedral with great atmosphere, regularly rebuilt after fires (including a relatively recent arson attack!) Very obviously once a Catholic church, it still retains several Catholic-oriented artifacts. Best accessed via the town itself, unless you fancy a very steep climb up from the...More

Visited in Porvoo old church at ceremony. Place was full of people and feeling was warm. Church decoration is very nice and worthwhile for visit.

Nice sea church. A pleasant place to visit especially if the weather is not good. You will see some painted walls and even a replica of a boat. The venue is small but very typical.

If you were only to see one building in Porvoo, this would be the one to see. It conveys a sense of monumentality to an Old Town mostly comprised of rustic, barn-like warehouses and cute, pastel-coloured cottages. Whether you are talking about the shingled roof,...More

Visitor's attention will be caught by the model ship suspended inside:- seen elsewhere across Finland. Located within easy reach...More

A cathedral with a nice compound and a view of the river. There are guided tours available, and on the Saturday we visited the guided tour around noon was free. When in Old Town Porvoo, a must visit

Don't think that I would make a special trip just to see the Cathedral, but it is a stop on the walking tour of Porvoo. The interiors were very nice

We walked up there while visiting Porvoo. I hate to give it average, but we saw so many other breath taking cathedrals, its hard to rate it higher and disappoint people. If you are visiting Porvoo. you should see it as well.

There inside of the church is really beautiful but pay attention for the opening hours as during lunch hours it is closed.
