Our cabin on Sugar Ridge over looked the lake. Each day the lake took on a new look - sometimes it reminded us of Scotland and other days Arkansas! Lots of opportunity for boating and fishing.

Our view from Sugar Ridge Resort was amazing. I'd love to go a different time of year and be on the water.

My friend owns a home on Beaver Lake and we have had an opportunity to tour and fish the lake. the water is clear and beautiful and the fishing from our boat, with a little instruction, was good. It is relaxing and fun. We took a guided striper fishing trip and didn't catch a single fish. The guide charged us... More

We stopped here for a walk along the shore. We didn't see all there is to do in the area, but we found this a peaceful place to visit. The rocks, both large and small, were interesting view.

Perhaps not exactly a secret, but located well outside the city. Great for hiking, swimming, fishing, grilling even boating. It's a really big city park that's open to all. Highly recommended to get away from crowds.

Highway 187 makes a loop off Highway 62 and passes by east end of Beaver Lake and crosses the Beaver Lake dam. This is a nice one to two hour drive and is probably the best scenery in the immediate Eureka Springs area. The shoreline of Beaver Lake is beautiful scenery and the area is very restful and quiet. There... More

Didn't play in the lake much as we weren't prepared but there are lots of places to access the water. The Dam is just an amazing piece of construction too. Lots of nice trails and some are very challenging and steep.

We stayed there for a couple of days. Great view of Beaver Lake. The accommodations were nice and clean. Water pressure in the shower was very low. It is a drive back to Eureka Springs, so make sure to bring your groceries. Very quiet and serene.

Drove around to the Belle of the Ozarks boat ride, went on tour, they were very informative and had great stories about the lake and and how it was built, drove back around and had lunch at the Angler's Inn, very good
