There are many, many steps to climb, only 250+ this time! The views are spectacular and it is worth the "workout." All the same, this is pretty stair climbing…Judas trees are in blossom. Founded in the 16th century the monastery is inhabited by nuns and...More

We enjoy all the monasteries and would not place one over the other one. Each monastery has something different to offer the visitor. Just be ready to walk a lot and climb lots of stairs. It is advisable for women to wear a skirt but...More

Do not pay to go inside, you just see one room and have to leave. The nuns are really strict and don’t treat you in the best way. The only beautiful part is near the entrance yo can see (just see, not enter) a beautiful...More

This was another one of my favourite monasteries not to many people and beautiful views, you can also see some of the old monasteries that are no longer in use from here definitely one to visit.

A beautiful, small, peaceful monastery/nunnery. Frescoes, views, icons and more. A steep climb as with all of these Meteoran monasteries. Worth a visit.

It is easy to get up here from the road. Entrance 3 euros. However, going inside doesn’t make much sense. There's only a little Church inside. The monastery was repeatedly plundered and all the most valuable of the remaining values is in the great Meteors....More

All these Monastries offer somthing a little different from one another. What does not differ is the sense of wonder at what it must have taken to build them.
