when it was snowy and cloudy but it still was picturesque, perhaps more so with dark and white contrasts.. However, no monster sightings. Worth a drive.

Pleasant enough drive, if you have a couple of hours to while away. The roads on the northen bank include several sections that are unpaved, while the roads on the southern section are paved.

We drove around the lake from Egilsstaddir calling in at points of interest on the way. It is a pleasant drive with little traffic. The softer inland water makes an interesting contrast to some of the grander landscape seen elsewhere. No sign of the Wyrm....More

This is a narrow lake, located near Egilsstadir. You can circle most of the lake following road 931.

Beautifull scenery af a long lake near the town of Egilsstadir. The east side is planted with pine trees, with al lot of scatered chalets. It looks al little like Austria or Switzerland. The west side is more rough , grassland and rocks. The hike...More

This fjord is special because of the fjord monster.....hum. There was a boattrip but this is already stopped because of the lack of interest.

No luck seeing the monster, the water was calm and the surroundings so quiet and beautiful that you felt like you should just loose track of time and live for a while. Take time and stay there for a while if at all possible.
