Great place to visit for its grave sites. The graves , crosses and tower tell an interesting story of faith and travel in that era of Irish history. It was the way the illiterate locals could learn about the faith. If driving it also has...More

Lovely round tower in a peaceful graveyard just off the N51. Plenty of parking available and with it being within a graveyard free to enter. Make sure you pay your respects to the unnamed croppy on your way through.

Nice place to visit for a bit of local history. One or two information plaques dotted about explaining what the sites are and there is ample car parking. Bear in mind that this is a cemetery also, so please visit with respect.

During a recent trip to Co Meath we discovered this charming little graveyard with the remains of a church and an exquisite round tower. A peaceful place and well worth a short visit.

This little graveyard is worth the stop along Ireland's Ancient East, as the round tower is perfectly preserved.

We stopped to see this on the way to another castle. A typical Irish cemetery. I didn't see anything that explained what the tower was used for, but I assumed it was part of a church.
