Open Tuesday to Friday it is an interesting place to visit with intriguing tales. The staff were so helpful and friendly they made the visit extra special. It also houses the genealogy centre..

A small museum, very good staff, and the starting point for tracing local ancestors. Don't miss the condemned cells in the gate house.

We popped in here on a rainy day and it was excellent. Lots of rooms to explore and then we had a guided tour of the old prison. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
