History alive and well

When staying at the Parador, this is nearby. The experience of moving through history, while moving through architecture is something very important.

It included a triple arch and dogleg entrance. Within the arches there seem to be residues of some form of decoration (red). The arches give access to the parking area of the Parador and the reception

A Carmona highlight, this ancient fortress now houses one of Spain's scenic 'Paradors' (state-sponsored inns), complete with elegant rooms, a gorgeous restaurant, and a patio 'coffee bar' with a cliff-side view that shouldn't be missed.

This town has so many Roman remains that it is difficult to choose one over another but they are all fascinating in their own way.

It seems as it was built yesterday, very well kept, and furnished to the last detail. The restaurant there is excellent, you will fell as part of the gentry of the era.

This attraction along with the rest of Carmona is worth visiting during a trip to or from Seville. There is a marked tourist route to walk through the streets of the old town up to the fortress and there are some lovely views at the top . Interestingly the view is not Andulucia like and is a little like looking... More
