Small sandy beach

A small sandy beach in Nerja. It is ideally located and close to the lovely town center and boulevard. Good restaurants and bars nearby.

We have walked on the beach, and it is very nice. But unfortunately the Papagayo café is now derelict. It is not good for the area, and should be refurbished of demolished. It is sad to see it like this.

This is a small and pretty crowded beach (even now, in mid-September), but it's right in the centre, so it's great for a quick swim. Also, water stays shallow as you enter the sea, so it's great for children (or for water frisbee!).

This pocket of beach is the best. Clear water and boulders/rock pools to explore. Balcon de Europa and Nerja Old Town nearby.

The crystal clear water and the dynamics of the boulders makes for a nice stay. It's not as crowded as one would expect from such a central playa

A good beach to visit for a quick swim during the day. Close to several eating places if you want food and refreshing beverages. Even better in the evening when most of the people have left for dinner.

Grab a pizza from Little Italy and a bottle of wine and go sit on the beach when everyone else has left! This is a quite, beautiful place without the tourists!

I found the beach quiet and conducive to reading and relaxing, apparently there have been some issues there recently. Papagayo's restaurant is an eyesore but I didn't let it bother me.

Beautiful beach, such a shame that the bar/restaurant is now derelict and when we were there the little pathway linking up to other beaches was closed off too :-(

you can find lots of quiet areas here - wonderful for swimming! not many sunbeds available - comfortable to lie on the beach!
