This reminded me of Valencia with the modern buildings with little inside. Very friendly staff but not much to see-in my opinion.

Nerja has quite a history. I learnt a lot about it in the couple of hours I spent in the museum. The exhibits are well presented and the information is detailed and interesting.

Small, modern museum which explores the history of Nerja, from prehistoric times to the present. There are several interactive exhibits, as well as a short video presentation on how the caves were discovered. The highlight of the museum was the prehistoric remains of a young...More

Thank you very much for your kind comment. That's right, we survived the entries of our visitors, so their support is invaluable. A cordial greeting.

The stuff on view is interesting enough, but not very imaginatively presented. Quite a lot of the labelling is in rather small type, and could put people off reading it. There are some exhibits from the caves, but not many. The history of the caves...More

Typically disorganised Spanish fiasco. Could and should have been a good visit but noisy works going on workmen shouting during some works they were carrying out, clearly a whole bunch of EU money thrown at it with no idea and clueless in charge of the...More

Dear sir, as we say in Spain, ignorance is very daring, and I think your comment is the most inappropriate and faithful reflection of your ignorance. All the works that we develop in our museum are paid for with our own income. We do NOT...More

The train cave combo ticket should have worked fine - caves great - but the damn train didn’t stop at the museum and we ended up back at the caves. No one explains anything. We drove back and we ourselves. Museum was ok as it-fitted...More

We regret that the train service had not worked well. We have to say that the train does not depend directly on the museum, so any incident is the responsibility of the train. We are very happy that you liked our museum. Starting in July,...More

Good Morning. We regret the inconveniences they had. We are having problems with the cave because of the works that are in the old stop, so we had to put it in a more secluded place. In short, this problem will be solved. A cordial...More

What an interesting and modern museum, with lots of video as well as static exhibits. The section on the history of the local cane sugar manufacturing was particularly fascinating, as was the (old) film of Cueva de Nerja, and the new slideshow of the site
