This was a fantastic museum! Dali designed it, filled it, lived there and was buried there. There are many galleries to go through and there is really no rhyme or reason as to how to do that. You just have to wander. It took about 2 1/2 hours to see everything. It was very crowded, so it took more time. There are 2 gift shops with interesting items. Although Dali said the museum was not meant to be gone through guided, if you are able to go there on a tour where a guide takes you through to show you some of the more important works, you might get more out of the visit. We had a guide that walked us through for about an hour and then we had 2 more hours to wander at leisure. We thought that was beneficial.

I visited this museum in conjunction with a trip to Girona. Combining a day trip from Barcelona to Girona and Figueras for the Dali Museum is most optimal use of time. You can take a high speed train direct from Barcelona Sants station direct to Figueras. However it will stop at Figueras-Villafante station which is at least a 25 minutes walk from the town. I stop at Girona first in the morning - which was a great stop - then went on to Figueras via the local train which will stop much closer to the city Center. There is nothing to do in Figueras other than to make a beeline straight to the museum. You have to experience the museum for yourself. The courtyard and main hall are jaw dropping. You will spend at least 30 minutes there. Another 20 exhibits and rooms await. Tip: download the Dali app and you will be guided and many of the exhibits will be explained. You need the app because there isn’t any explanations accompanying the exhibits. As you exit don’t forget to visit the Dali Jewels room. Spend at least 15 minutes there. I managed to compete the entire experience within 2 hours. For most people this is enough. Then it’s a 15 mins walk back to the station to catch the train back to Barcelona.

This was probably the only reason most people come to Figueres. The museum was extremely crowded even with timed ticket admission. Some of the exhibits were very interesting and some were boring or weird. You'll have that with any art museum as it's all about your particular taste. My 6 year old wasn't very into any of this.

The museum is a magical combination of a structure and the artwork of Dali in a lovely combination all designed by the artist. Some of his famous works as well as many less known items and even some jewelry he designed. Multiple rooms that showcase his genius as an artist. We took almost 3 hours to see it all. Well worth the visit.

This is one of the best museums I've ever been to. It translates Dali's style into an entire building, with room after room of his works and ideas. They also make sure the place is not too crowded, which is great, because it means you have the time and space to really appreciate it.

Easy to get to and plenty of parking nearby. Lovely experience and lots to see and keep the interest of the children. Well kept museum and every corner has something of interest. Children under 8 go in free, which is a bonus too. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Extraordinary museum and a fitting testament to the unique genius of Dali. The museum is essentially a giant installation with all sorts of visual tricks, quirks and remarkable artworks from Dali and others. The only downsides are a) it gets very crowded and b) it has no parking (there is a private car park a few metres away but it's very expensive - we paid something like 22 euros for four hours). That said, the museum is a must for anyone interested in Dali or art in general, and you can spend two or three hours working your way around its winding layout.

Great museum with an incredible collection. I would NOT recommend going late July/early August is it was unbelievably hot. 104f and it was packed with people. You should buy tickets in advance but dont get there too early as you cannot get in until the scheduled time. I do recommend getting something to eat before or after your visit. There are several great establishments within steps of the museum.

If you are in Barcelona, it's a must for a day trip. Not your standard organized presentation which is what Dali intended. Got a tad disoriented and rewalked areas. All part of the 'unplanned'. Very crowded though. Really, too crowded given it supposedly has timed tickets to limit. Enjoyed St Petersburg much more, but this was fine for a one time visit.

The museum was not too crowded during our visit, our tickets were for 9 am. Yes - we saw some rooms twice because the signs were not clear but we didn’t mind - we checked the artwork one more time :-) Certainly recommend visiting Dali’s birth house 5 mins walk from the museum - phenomenal audio visual presentation of his birth circumstances, his formative years, excentricity etc. Combine this two places when in Figueres, it’s a perfect match!!
