Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Peaceful way to spend a bit of time, just watching the world go by and the boats pass through. It’s close to the weir so nice scenery looking down the river too.

When in marlow we also visited the lock which was good signed to find the way there. Watched the boats going past which seemed to be nice and easy and also quick. The views are very nice too

Scenic lock with great views across the weir and to the church and bridge. Relaxing and soothing atmosphere.

Interesting to see this lock on a walk along the river. Very close to the bridge and town centre. Probably best in summer when it's a lovely place for a stroll on a warm sunny day, but it's still good at any time of the year.

There has been a lock Marlow since the days of the Knights Templar. It was rebuilt in 1927.
It's a wonderful vantage point to sit and watch the boats as they pass through the lock.

If you are visiting Marlow I can recommend a visit to Marlow Lock which is a short walk away from the High Street. You get a great view of the weir, church and suspension Bridge which is very photogenic and especially in the summer months (when there is more river traffic) you can sit down and watch lock operations with pleasure craft of various shapes and sizes positioning in the lock to move up or downstream
