Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I thought this was a wonderful and innovative way to tell the history of Kirkby Lonsdale and its people.
You select an item from a locker and place it on the desk. This starts off a video about the item you've chosen.
The vault is a smallish room with seating for 3 people.

The vault may be located at the back of the Town and Tourist Information Shop, but is well worth seeing if you love your local history in the Lune Valley or your history as it tells you so much about the area even if you are staying nearby or passing through the town as the vault is original as the building itself was a bank.

I may have lived in the area all my life and seen two information videos, but will be listening to all of it soon and learning even more information about the famous names and the stories that made Kirkby Lonsdale and the surrounding area well known to so many and is also interactive to so it's great for friends, families, couples, on your own or businesses and anybody who loves history, so it's a great way to introduce yourself to Kirkby Lonsdale as a new person or family in the local area, or as a resident who is proud to live there and know the history of the area you call home or remind yourself of it.

Such a brilliant and interesting way to tell visitors the history of the town! Take an item from a locker in the vault, place it on the table and listen and watch as a story about it unfolds before you. The story of the glove made me want to go straight to the church yard to find the memorial - if you want to know what that story is you have to go to the Information Office and hear for yourself!!
I would suggest not watching/listening to them all in one go. Check out one or two, explore the town, and make a return visit to hear more. Even though I've visited the town many times this unusual way of presenting the history brought to life things I'd not heard or seen before.
The shop is also full of nice items and the staff are very friendly and helpful

It might be hard to find, that’s because you can easily walk past as I did, at from first if you don’t know where you are going: But it is well worth the visit , very informative about Kirby Lonsdale and its history. Located in the TIC. Definitely recommend visiting 😀

This concept is interesting but the elderly lady in the shop where this is sited was very unfriendly and even more unhelpful. Su h a shame as we would have loved the experience.

Visited the vault a few weeks ago, good to hear the history of the town in an unusual way. I would recommend going and then exploring the village to follow the history trail. Would definitely recommend. Thank you
