We had originally booked, via telephone, Bishop's for the seal boat trip last Wednesday but due to poor weather, it was rescheduled to Friday morning. On the day, you have to pay and collect your tickets at Blakeney Quay. Bishops recommend collecting them 45 mins before, but I would say give yourself a good hour as the queue to the car parking machine can get lengthy. Once you have collected your tickets, you head to Morston Quay which is a 5 minute drive from Blakeney Quay. Car parking is expensive. It costs £6 to park the car for the whole day. The seal trip lasts around an hour, and there is a coastal walk nearby but I think you'd be hard pushed to spend the whole day there. I recommend bringing change for the car park - unfortunately, the machine does not accept cards, and you have to download an annoying app that is difficult to navigate. You can call and pay over phone, which was very very frustrating - as the automated voice/robot does not hear your car registration clearly, so you have to key in one-by-one the letters ('2' - press 1 for A, 2 for B, or 3 for C - you have pressed 3 for C, is this correct, press 1 to confirm etc...). It also asks you how long you'd like to park for in minutes, so if you key in 180 minutes for 3 hours, it then says 'you can park here until 10pm' - a bit of a pointless question as the only option is to park there all day for £6! On top of this, you are charged an admin fee - bit of a cheek really. It took us, who are young and tech-savvy, 20 minutes to sort our parking out, it was very long winded and terrible if I'm completely honest and it did put us in bad moods as we were getting late for the seal trip. So if you are reading this, get there early to sort the pay over phone parking in time, or bring change with you. At the car park, there are toilets and a cafe woth outdoor picnic benches. We got some cake and tea from there after the trip. The boat trip was excellent. We got lucky with the weather and the water was still. Our boat was packed and I think if we had taken our binoculars, we would have struggled and found it uncomfortable to use them as we were all sitting closely. Fortunately, we did not need our binoculars to see the seals on the shore. We passed by the shore three times to see the seals, and on the last return, only three seals remained. Throughout the trip, you are able to stand up and look behind. There are plenty of birds on the water and on the sand beds but you'll need binoculars to take a closer look. We also saw seals bobbing their heads up and down in the sea. In total, we must have seen over 20 seals, a really worthwhile experience. I do have one suggestion to the crew - despite being 2 meters away, it was difficult to hear you telling us about the seals, as we were sitting in front of the engine. It would have been helpful if a microphone was worn so that we could hear you as we would have loved to learnt more about the seals. If you are looking to book this experience, I wouldn't hesitate. I recommend booking this at the start of your holiday, just in case it gets postponed due to weather.

lots of operators for this experience but we were happy with our choice. Polite on the phone and easy to book. I walked down to the quayside in Blakeney to get our tickets and chatted to the man there about the possibility of paddle boarding back from Morston after our seal watching trip. I should have listened to him as it wasn't possible and I ended up rather muddy! Anyway, the seal trip itself was excellent. Lots of room on the boat - felt very spacious and safe. Stunning views of the seals; literally dozens on the sandbar and dozens more popping up close to the boat as we motored around the haven. This is a very special place and the staff clearly care for their fee-paying passengers every bit as much as they care about the seals we come to see

We had a great evening boat trip to see the seals at Blakeney. Social distancing on the boat and plenty of space. The 2 crew were informative about the seals and the area. It was the last trip that evening and I would highly recommend it. We saw LOTS of seals and learned about the different types and their activity. We were a party of 6 ranging from 2 years to 78 years. Everyone had fun and would definitely go again. We did have a little trouble finding the boat, it is over a bridge at the end of the quay. Make sure you dress appropriately, it is a smallish boat with no cover.

We had a fantastic time going out to see seals in Blakeney Point with Bishop Boats. The starting point of the journey was in Blakeney Quay for ticket collections. We left the car in the car park for £6 per day and had a hike along the scenic coastal path to Morston Quay where the boats are. The trip was an hour with friendly, knowledgeable crew members. It took about 10 to 15 minutes to get to Blakeney Point where seals were lying on the sand. We had many photo opportunities and seals were floating in the sea, popping up close to the boat. We have really enjoyed the seal boat trip, thanks!

Great boat trip to Blakeney Point to see the Seals - our guide was really knowledgeable about the animals and the local area. The boat trip lasts approximately an hour, recommend getting up and going early to see the animals!
