- Elisabeth C.London, United Kingdom12 contributionsTotally Fascinating Place, Don't Miss It!Recently visited Captain Fawcett's Marvellous Barbershop museum and we were totally astounded! We were fortunate enough to get the grand tour by Ritchie himself. This is the most incredible menagerie of barbershop related items, some dating back hundreds of years. We went in knowing next to nothing about the tonsorial arts, but have a newfound interest in the subject! The attention to detail is inimitable- you surely will not be disappointed. Please make the time to step into this incredible alternate world for an hour or a day!Visited December 2022Written 31 December 2022

- Mr_Stage39 contributionsA must see experienceIf you are facially hirsute or bald as a coot you really must have a visit. We have been waiting for a few years as we live so far away after but having met Capt Fawcett and his crew at Goodwood Revival we just had to arrange a visit. It was oh so worth the wait. Capt and his crew are so lovely and friendly and warm. We were so lucky to have Corey show us around and impart his extensive knowledge on all things 'beard & blade'. If we're ever in that neck of the woods again we'll certainly be back. We didn't get off lightly though. Managed to grab a new bottle Booze and Backy fragrance, some lovely Booze and Backy shower gel and some after shave balm. All to add to my shaving soap and dish. I think I'm an addict. lol.Visited August 2023Written 27 August 2023

You need to allow a good two hours as there is so much to see and learn about - especially if you have a guided tour which is recommended. A really fascinating look back at the history of barbering. Highly recommended.

Having just picked up my Harley from Lind Newmarket and seeing the barbers shop in the showroom, I thought I’d pop up to kings lynn and visit the team behind the barbers…. And I was not disappointed… what a friendly team they have and I got to see around the museum whilst they were packing for a show later that week. Richie have a genuinely nice chap and share a passion for Harley’s. Thanks soo much for your hospitality and looking forward to visiting you at one of the many shows you will be at.

As the name suggests, Captain Fawcett's is simply Marvellous. The curious collections were a nothing but a pleasure to explore, their products were just as brilliant and The impossibly Unique feel of what essentially became a discreet museum instead of a beauty supply store is akin to nothing I, nor anyone else, have ever seen before. the staff are friendly and clearly have a passion for both the products and the collections.

Absolutely worthy of a visit regardless of your interest. A collection noteworthy of a city museum all set into a stylish interesting and breathtaking realistic walk back in time. Easily spend 2 hours there and it's free. Plus these guys are huge sponsors of Make A Wish Foundation. Don't miss this marvelous emporium of antiquities from barbershop, and grooming, to motorcycles and more....
