Facilities include an under 10's play area (children must be supervised), FREE car park and woodland cafe. Bookings are by appointment, please phone to book. *The high ropes course closes for winter from 8th Nov 2018 & will re-open Easter weekend 2019. We remain open for quad-biking and assault course.

Fantastic afternoon on a quad bike trail in the woods.
We had instruction and lessons first then we went for an exhilarating ride through the woods and fields.
Our instructor was on hand at all times to ensure our safety and that we were enjoying the experience.
A great time, highly recommended.

Saw a leaflet in the holiday accommodation where we stayed (which turned out to be dated 2018). I have 2 boys into their fitness - one is a firefighter and the other does army cadets and just been away and done army assault course. They saw this advertised and wanted to do this army assault course. When booking the lady made us aware that it is extremely and need to be physically fit. I said leaflet states it takes about an hour and was told yes they could be an hour. My husband is disabled and we thought we would sit in the cafe while we waited. Cafe advertised on website. When we got there no other visitors around. Man said no cafe since the high ropes had gone - well we saw them and everything was rotten. He instructed my boys to run through woods and would find the course and would loop back to car park. He then disappeared Nd left us to it asking me to text when we were going and he would lock it back up. 10 minutes after setting off my boys appeared having done assault course and getting lost! Paying £20 each was definitely Extreme in my opinion especially as we were left on our own - toilets were even disgusting.

Judging by the description on the website we were excited to book the assault course and were looking forward to something a little different.

However, on arrival, clearly the place has not been maintained in a long time. Of course obstacles will be well used and weathered, however nothing prepared us for quite how run down the assault course was. Log climbing wall was part rotten, tyres were green and full of old bird nests and debris.

The monkey bars were completely rusted which ended up showing me with brown stuff.

If you are thinking of booking the high ropes, don't. There aren't any.although these are advertised they have been taken down, presumably because they are mostly broken.

It is such a shame, as it could be an amazing place, however , I genuinely feel absolutely ripped off. To receive an email response to our compaint which sites that all obstacles are safety inspected really is not on when they are clearly not.

Anna I can’t thank you. We had the most enjoyable time with the most wonderful guide. What a wonderful time my son had quad biking around acres of beautiful woods and fields.

We went on Wednesday. Paid £120 for 4 teenagers and 2 adults and were bored after about fifteen minutes. It really isn't worth the money. There are ten obstacles that don't take long to get round. It had rained that morning and the wood was a bit damp and slippery. I fell and hurt my head - no-one was there. The only good thing was the woods were rather beautiful. Nothing extreme about it to be honest, apart from the extortionate cost!

We booked three quads looking for something for teenagers to do on holiday. After a very thorough briefing and training session from Toby we set off led very capably by him for a quad ride through the forest. Great fun and highly recommended.

Had the best instructor, was very patient and friendly to teach me and my boyfriend the quads. Had the best time in the woods, land and slopes. Amazing experience overall.

This activity was booked for a hen party, looking at the reviews and the website this looked like an amazing, fun filled experience! Upon our arrival we were met with an empty pavillion with a few benches and a fire in the middle.
We were told there were no toilet facilities, no proper safety briefing and we were told to head off towards a sign and follow the track for the 'assault course'.
I say 'assault course' lightly as we could have gone to our local children's park for free and had a much better experience.
We were told on the day that many of the obstacles/high ropes/ zip wire were closed due to not being safety checked after COVID- although they still charged the same price even though we had access to a quarter of the course.
The course took us all of 5 minutes to complete with 5 of us taking part- were were told we could go around as many times as we like and re-do the course but it was so boring that twice was enough!
Whilst doing the course my sister attempted to climb the 'wall' at the beginning of the course, whilst trying to climb this a large piece of wood fell off and she caught her arm in between the wood, nearly breaking her arm- this was reported to the 'instructor' but he took no interest in our complaint. He told us that it was an 'assault course'- although again, we were given no safety briefing and were left to our own devices.
The 'instructor' was extremely patronising and rude to all of us, had no interest in anything we had to say and all in all ruined what should have been an amazing experience for the bride to be.
Will not be returning here again and certainly not happy at paying £20pp for such an awful experience.

We did the quad biking and assault course for my husbands birthday. The quad biking was completed during the first part of the day and was excellent - really enjoyable! It lasted approximately 1.5 hours and I would say was well worth the money. The owner who I liaised with upon booking and who subsequently took us quad biking was helpful, friendly and amenable. However, the assault course which was the latter part of the day was unfortunately not at all what we’d hoped for. I was told upon booking it would take approximately 45 minutes to complete and we could go round as many times as we liked. We completed it in 3 and a half minutes!! It was very short and I would say more reminiscent of a child’s gym trail. Very disappointing and at £20 per person was not value for money at all.
The quad biking is why I have scored 4/5. I would score the assault course at 1/5.

Toby, Anna, thanks for a cracking day. The assault course, the barbie and especially the quads, set us up for a cracking evening out, So thankyou very much. Also, your knowledge of the estate, the trees and varieties thereof, was a real aside for us all. I don't think many of us had seen a sequoia, and didn't know you had the tallest trees in England on the estate. you'll be seeing us again 1 way or the other, like it or not!
