Holkham is a beautiful place rich in wildlife, history and architecture. It is set in an epic landscape, combining unspoilt coastline, big skies and open countryside. Take in a spot of culture and visit the magnificent 18th century hall and explore the six acres of walled garden, part of an exciting restoration project. Visit the Field to Fork Experience and discover the fun and interactive story of food and farming at Holkham without having to put your wellies on! Let our ‘talking tools’ tell you their use; test your foody knowledge with our table-top game; enjoy our ‘Holkham Year’ film and don a Holkham tweed jacket and bowler hat for a selfie. Children will enjoy our Woodland Adventure Play Area, with its tree house, high level walkways, rope ladders and zip wire, plus a special area just for toddlers. On high days and holidays explore further with cycle hire or discover Holkham’s watery world with our choice of rowing boats, canoes and kayaks. Finish off your visit by treating yourself in our Courtyard Cafe, where we serve only the best, locally-sourced food and our gift shop, showcasing the work of local artisan suppliers. Our varied programme offers delights such as chamber music and opera in the Marble Hall and open-air concerts in the park, to outdoor theatre in the courtyard. Visit our website for full information on our visitor season and events.

Very interesting house, more lived-in feel to it than some, plenty to look at, more helpful experts in the rooms (and not at all patronising). Extensive grounds, £3 parking if you just want that. Decent and pleasant cafe, spacious airy and quiet. We loved the...More

Hi Is entry free of charge for cyclists arriving on their own bicycles? And can I use my own bicycle in there? Thank you!

Thank you for you question. Entry to Holkham park is free for cyclists and pedestrians and £3 for car parking. You are most welcome to cycle through the park on your own bicycle.

Why are you charging an extortionate £2.95 for self-serve push-button coffee?? It's a disgrace. It's the same price as the 'barista'-style served coffee at the main counter - which is also VERY overpriced!

I agree with your sentiment and would like to see the reply which I expect is just that they have found that they can get away with charging that.
