Big big big beach, walk for hours, take your dog or horse all welcome, there is also a nudist section. So big it's never crowded. Parking is a little expensive but well worth it.

Worth the walk from the Victoria at Holkham village where we stayed. Ideal dog walking country - plenty of open sands, dunes and pine woods. Low tide is, however, a very long way away.

A must do walk along the beach at Holkham bay if you're any near the area. An area that takes you out of yourself and helps you see the bigger picture.

Was my first time visiting here on Saturday and what can I say - it's truly stunning. Big sky, vast beach and beautiful woodland nature reserve. Loads of dog walkers here and even horse riders too. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed herself here chasing after her...More

Holkham Bay must be the most sublime beach in the UK with wide sands surrounded by pine forest almost as far as the eye can see. It is often neglected on official lists since it is privately owned by the Earl of Leicester but open...More

Wow! What a stunning view once you walk to the top of the Boardwalk! A horseshoe of sand interspersed with marsh plants. Horse riders galloping along the beach, dogs playing in the sea, walkers set off to Wells-next-the-sea, huge pine forest either side. Just beautiful!...More

Enjoyed walking the coast path through Holkham beach. Beautiful sands that goes on forever and hardly anyone else to share it with.

Would be hard going even with an off-roader pushchair. I would put them on my shoulders if I was you and enjoy the workout!

Park at the end of the drive opposite Holkham Hall, and walk to the left. At least that's what my map says.
