Lovely beachwalk, tide was so far out, how nice to see all the volunteer beach cleaning people, with grabsticks and their black plastic bags, making the beach cleaned up for all us visitors, several racehorses being exercised on beach and in the sea, shame the...More

We park up at Holkham Bay (make sure you have plenty of £1 coins) and head out across the bay to the waters edge. The bay is big and sandy. Depending on the tide we may have to wade across a stream. From there we...More

After parking in the designated car park next to the coastal marshes we walked past the building site where it looks like a visitor centre is being constructed and through the conifer laden set of dunes on the boardwalk where we hoped to come out...More

By far the most beautiful beach along this stretch of coastline. Totally unspoiled and you can take dogs onto the beach all year round. Fantastic views and you can walk for miles before having a well earned meal at The Victoria on Holkham estate

We loved it, so open and clean. Dog walkers and tourists alike all enjoying the open space. Beach very clean, one of Britains hidden gems.

I love Wells beach, I've been visiting it for 30 years. I love its beauty and the fact you have to respect the sea and the tide.

This is not too be missed, a stretch of golden beach that seems to be endless. It is also one of the cleanest beaches I have ever seen. There is a dog friendly area of the beach and it has toilets nearby.

Lovely walk, the distance between the surf and the trees can be massive (depending on tide). This location was used in the final scene of Shakespeare In Love, and when one visits it in person, one can understand why the movie chose this spot. Beautiful!

This is a must visit. Huge beach with dunes so plenty of space for everyone and you can walk through the woods or on the beach to and from Wells. A firm family favourite.

Holkham is found on the coast road between the well known towns of Burnham Market and Wells, two very different towns . Parking is pay and display and once parked it’s a simple stroll straight out of the car to the beach . You can...More

Would be hard going even with an off-roader pushchair. I would put them on my shoulders if I was you and enjoy the workout!
