Prideaux Place - well worth a visit.
What an enjoyable visit we had to Prideaux Place. Several months earlier we had tried to visit but the house was closed so we returned and were glad we got to see inside the house. We were lucky enough to have Nicholas (a family member who lives there) to show us round. He was informative and entertained us with some family tales from the past. Also talked to the man who cares for the magnificent deer herd - very friendly to us tourists!

    Nice short visit
We had a pleasant short visit. The staff in the café were very friendly and helpful. The food options were clearly home-made. It was lovely to watch the deer being fed and the man in charge was very enthusiastic. Quite a steep walk up to the gardens. Good value entrance fee.

    Amazing tour guide
This beautiful house was shown to us by a family member who was passionate about the house and its history. I often get bored after a while, visiting old buildings, but not here . Our guide was animated and fun and brought the information she imparted to life. It is a lived in house and instead of lots of roped off areas that make you feel that you really shouldn't be there, I felt welcome and comfortable. Thank you for such an interesting visit.

What a wonderful morning we had wandering around the gardens enjoying the flowers, the trees and the views, finding benches to sit and relax and listen to the birds. Would definitely recommend. The cake and coffee was very good too.

If you have experienced problems at Harlyn Bay car park then these are the owners of the land who have employed the car parking management firm that have caused your misery.
I'll let you decide if they are worthy of your custom.

Checked there website for menu options as daughter has food allergies. Looked finr. On arrival totally different food options. Nothing my daughter could eat, everything had dairy, seeds or other allergens. We asked if they could remove the cheese from a ham and cheese panini before toasting and told no. They couldn’t take panini apart as they came in made up. Menu says all food home made? They suggest vegetarian’s menu if you had allergies. That doesn’t remove the dairy. Not at all helpful, treated us like faddish nuisances not customers with genuine issues.

The house deserves more visitors. We were on the 3pm tour and it started with just us, then 3 others joined. The house is lovely, particularly the beautiful ceiling. It is also nice to see the strawberry gothic. The guides were very interesting. The cafe also provided very nice food.

We didn’t have time to do a tour of the house , that will be on our next visit. The gardens were superb and so well maintained. Very peaceful walk around the grounds. The cafe was excellent. Very pleasant and helpful staff and I was so impressed by the range of hot drinks on offer. My cortado was delicious!
Such a wonderful visit. Thank you.

I looked on the website the night before I planned to visit. It still said no booking necessary, just come along. I did that, only to find the afternoon tours were all fully booked. I was on my own and I explained I was leaving the area the next day, but still no joy.

What a waste of time. What a ridiculous system. If the afternoon tours were fully booked, surely they could have put that on the website. When the admission price is so expensive (£15), I expect a booking system that is fit for purpose.

We had a tour of the house out tour guide was very informative and friendly we were with some German tourists and they were very disrespectful as there's a big sign as you go into the house saying no photography and they were taking pictures inside without the guide noticing apart from that it was a memorable day there are lots of things to see the grounds are beautiful and there is also a deer park right next to it would come again
