Padstow Museum

A great little old-fashioned museum affording insight into local history. Enthusiastic staff obviously care about their museum. A quiet escape for a while to step back in time !

The volunteers were so enthusiastic and friendly and I received a very warm welcome. Lots of exhibits and curiosities, all well labelled and displayed. Not a large museum but a welcome quiet haven away from the bustle of the town. An enjoyable visit.

What a great little museum. We were greeted by a very friendly lady who's father had started the museum so as a local she was extremely knowledgeable regarding exhibits and very proud to tell us the history. Although we had seen posters in various pubs about the Padstow Hoss - she gave us a very entertaining description of the history... More

Your host that day asked me to than you for your kind review, and also to put the record straight, it was her Granfer who started the Museum, Just in case you thought she was older than she is lol. She really does love talking to our visitors about Padstow's history and artifacts bringing the stories alive. Thank you from... More

We popped in to the free-of-charge little museum thinking it would be a brief visit but were we wrong?! The lady in attendance was so incredibly knowledgeable, interesting and enthusiastic that we ended up staying for ages. She was wonderful, local and very, very Cornish. Worth a look :)

We were having a day out in Padstow and we had seen the museum advertised, so we went in and had a look. There is plenty of information to absorb, and the volunteer there was really friendly. She knew her stuff and really improved our experience there with her little anecdotes. Would definitely recommend!

A very small museum, brought to life by the excellent volunteers. Our children were fascinated listening to stories about life in Padstow 60 years ago. A charming museum, so glad we dropped in.
