Having retuned after around 30 years I was expecting changes, but in this instance not for the good. Padstow has become very 'commercialised' full of chip shops, pasty shops, High Street Chains and a mind boggling array of 'Stein' shops and eateries. A fairly average...More

Have to say main reason for vist was to have anniversary dinner at Rick Steins restaurant. But had a great time, see ( other reviews) very oldie worldy food and drink abundant and lots of dogs (possibly due to Mr Steins old partner "Chalky" )...More

Full of tourists at all times with bench seating dotted about to people watch and sit and eat fisb n chips or a pasty. There are a few restaurants dotted around the harbour also.

Packed,packed,packed with Rick Stein's face on every corner,tacky shops galore,yes the harbour is pretty but it's a working harbour and it stinks.Not a patch on Whitby in my opinion but ok for a quick hour or two.

Padstow is a lovely place to visit with some great places to eat and drink and a nice walk around the harbour. Parking was a nightmare even on a week day. They do have a park and ride which was the opinion we went for....More

Great little touristy town surrounding a beautiful harbour. It is neat seeing the boats down on the ground with the tide out. It really shows you how much the water levels change. Lots of little shops and restaurants.

Yes you can...Padstow is very dog friendly and they are welcome most places!
