About
Moretonhampstead Swimming Pool is open from May through to September. Our fabulous 25m outdoor pool is solar heated so you can swim comfortably even when the sun is hiding behind the clouds. The pool offers a grassed social area, and a timetable that offers a daily general swim for all, lane swimming, aqua fit sessions, swimming lessons, technique coaching, and water polo.

The whole family love Moreton pool!!
It is always very clean, with great changing facilities and loads of poolside space. The staff are friendly and the children love the 25p lucky dip sweet bag after their swim!

Planning a drive through Dartmoor, this open air pool was highlighted and I thought it would be a great way to finish our day before heading off to a restaurant.
We turned up without booking and got a 4pm slot.
2 hours for £4.
Changing cubicles were clean.
The pool wasn’t too busy and I just swam lengths for an hour.
Plenty of seating around for the non-swimmers.
We were blessed with sunshine too.
If I’m in the area again, I’d have another swim there.

We enjoyed a sunny afternoon at the pool in a 2hr session. The pool and poolside area were lovely and clean. The pool has a good set up with a barrier separating the shallow and deep ends with lots of floats available for children. Toilets and changing rooms were spotless. As it was a sunny day the pool was busy, but as tickets are limited it didn't feel crowded and felt really safe with the two lifeguards.

We booked for an hour session via the website. The pool was beautiful and it was lovely to be back in the water- the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful finish to our holiday!

Stopped off at the Moretonhampstead open air swimming pool yesterday and was greeted by lovely staff. Adult swim is £4 a session. The pool is heated by solar energy to 29degrees so is lovely and warm. Beautifully clean and tidy and with a car park next door. Perfect.

My wife and I visited in late July. The pool is a decent size and everything is in god repair, with some comfortable sitting areas. We spent most of the afternoon there, getting some exercise whilst also relaxing. The staff made us feel welcome.

Chose to stay in the village and began the day with a swim in this heated open air pool. It's clean and only lightly chlorinated. There are a few changing cubicles and when I was there it wasn't crowded
It's a small pool so will quickly fill up in the afternoons. And the shallow end is extremely shallow

Lovely and warm, super views. Next to car park and 2 minutes for the centre of town. Friendly staff and selection of floats etc.

Run solely by volunteers, we were surprised by how good this pool is. Lane swimming in the mornings and evenings and fun pool for families in the afternoon. Great value and a great facility.

First visit of the Summer for a Sunday morning lane swim and a reminder of what a fabulous place this is. Outdoor swimming in lovely, clear warm water - perfect! Thanks to all the volunteers for making this happen - hope you have a great 2018 season.
