Paddy is no fossil!

What an amazing experience - great introduction to fossils by Paddy Howe, who has been in this area of interest for 45 years. Does he know his 'stuff'? Damn right he does. After a full chat and showing us samples of what has been found, he helped us find our own fossils. Would certainly do this again. Thank you so... More

Im usually full of descriptive stuff about what was good and bad on reviews. With Paddy, he is simply awesome. Book a walk through Lyme Regis Museum with him and you cannot fail to be impressed no matter what age you are or level of knowledge. Just go, learn and enjoy.

Our 7 year old son asked if he could take a look in here, and what a gem we found! The owner of this workshop was very down to earth and took time to explain and share his passion for fossil hunting. Lots of amazing fossil discoveries to see and absolutely no pressure to buy anything. He has definitely ignited... More

Paddy's Fossil Walk was the highlight of our two week trip along the SWCP. He and Tom were wonderful and answered all of our stupid questions. My teen loved it and them, especially Tom. They talked to him and not down to him. It was a great experience from start to finish.

When visiting Lyme Regis, my boyfriend and I went on one of Paddy's fossil walks, which was fantastic in its own right (I would also recommend that anyone in the area books onto one of these) when on the walk we found out about this fantastic fossil/work shop. Paddy is extremely knowledgeable and passionate which really helps when buying things... More

Having found some fossils on our walk with Paddy, it was nice to take them to him to have the decent ones polished up. He took the time to talk to my young son about fossils and gave him a couple of more rare finds, which are now prized mementoes from our holiday!

We collected a fossil that we thought had potential as being a display item. The owner was honest and told us that we would be wasting on money on trying to clean it up. This impressed me.

A very interesting fossil shop. The staff are friendly and helpful and the children love it there. There's always something affordable to take home as a souvenir.

I was lucky to have found a fantastic fossil on my fossil walk with Paul from Jurassic Gems and he recommended I go see Paddy to get it cleaned up. It is a quirky place where you not only take your own fossils to be cleaned up but you can purchase some more from a fascinating selection. It feels strange... More

A family of 6 of us came for lunch. I was surprised at how large the restaurant is inside. The staff are friendly and helpful. The menu is extensive and the specials board is good. All the food is locally sourced or grown in-house. It is beautifully presented as well as being an imaginative mix of interesting dishes. There were... More
