About
Lyme Regis Brewery is a small craft micro brewery based in the quaint courtyard of the historic Town Mill in Lyme Regis. We make many different styles of craft beer to suit all tastes. Our tap room also serves soft drinks, ciders, wine and other spirits. We run brew days where you can come in and watch the fun, smell the malt and hops and, of course, taste the beers. Sit with a pint of our beer in the Town Mill courtyard and drink in the atmosphere at this historic location. Visit the tap room and try a beer or 3 in our cosy upstairs nook, buy bottles, merch and gifts to take home, or enjoy the sunny, relaxing courtyard in the sunshine. We look forward to seeing you.

- Katrina DSwansea, United Kingdom214 contributionsBeer tasting on holiday and it was greatWalked around the town of Lyme regis and literally stumbled off the track and found this little gem - the lady in the brewery guided us to several beers and we took them home and tasted as a group of 8 and an age range of 18 to 82 ! We picked “black ven”, “revenge”, “golden cap”, “rebellion” and scored The standout was golden cap ! But I loved the “revenge” - but the power of the team is in the decision making !! And they picked “golden cap” Maybe you can employ us as master tasters - 😜😜Visited February 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 21 February 2023
- Steve PChristchurch, United Kingdom46 contributionsA fantastic micro brewerySuperb high quality tap room and shop, wonderful range of beers, great merchandise if you want. Lovely people too. - Frances H1 contributionGreat place and worth a visitBrilliant brewery in a beautiful part of the town. Barman Alan really knowledge about his drinks and really friendly. - Salt Gypsy1 contributionBest brewery in DorsetExcellent beer Mike is an outstanding brewer and now brews 14 beers all by himself 💪🏾!! The tap regularly changes these beers on tap so there is always something new to try! The steady habits, in irons and pokers pool are my favourite if you like citra these are ur beers! I first found the brewery in lockdown and haven’t stopped going back! One of the coolest places to drink in Lyme with a beautiful Courtyard for a warm summers day that then twinkles with fairy lights at night! Cool atmosphere and a great hub to meet some of the locals!Visited May 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 2 May 2023
- Nick E2 contributionsFantastic tasting beer!Blumin’ ace beer! Served by funny but informative fellas. Amazing to see the original tiny stills in the “bar” but with the amount of volume they do they have moved production to a larger still off-site. I had the “Cold IPA”. Which was served cold. And on a 19 degree day it went down a treat! (The rhubarb cider was also more than excellent with a fantastic orangey colour but the brewery doesnt actually do the ciders…) we worth a visit and a few drunk… I mean drinks… hic… haha!Visited May 2023Written 30 May 2023
- Ana G4 contributionsExcellent beer, excellent staffI am so happy I did my research and head from the Lyme Regis Brewery on my first day in Lyme Regis. The beer was superb and the staff was so friendly, I felt straight away I was at my local pub!. Despite the place being always busy, I was recognised in my subsequent visits and they were fantastic also helping me with my presents to take away. If you don't like beer, the ciders are very nice too, and also they provide soft drinks. This is such a nice place to be that I can not recommend it strong enough. Next thing will be ordering beer on line!Visited May 2023Written 3 July 2023
- maiden888Galway, Ireland92 contributionsGreat little BreweryA week in Lyme Regis - so a few visits to the brewery were had! The beers and ciders are all very tasty. The staff are friendly and efficient. The setting is lovely in the Mill courtyard. The sun was shining and the chat was good over a few pints. Well worth a visit.Visited July 2023Written 9 July 2023

A cosy taproom, with a warm welcome and delicious beers, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lots of choice, seats and a small upstairs area to relax in, music, merchandise to buy and a great back story to their brewing heritage. Over 2 hours or so, there was a great ebb, flow and changeover of visitors, locals, friends and all sorts - sampling the beers, discussing them with the bar team and just relaxing in a hidden away corner of Lyme Regis … make sure you search it out - if you like craft beer, you’ll LOVE this place.

Great selection of beers available, something for everyone. Very cosy space in the nice mill area of Lyme Regis. Definitely worth a visit but not guaranteed a seat in busier times.

This is indeed a very small property and that is part of its charm. It is extremely well equipped and every time you open a cupboard or drawer you discover something else that has been provided. It is well decorated and everything works. We were delighted with the welcome pack and free glass of sherry.
There is underfloor heating, an electric fire that looks like a log burner and radiators (we we never figured out how to use those).
A small private corridor (Smugglers Way) takes you directly to the sea front, so there is no need to move the car to explore any part of the town. Parking is in a private courtyard, a bit tricky if you have a very big car, but still possible.
Take a torch at night as the car park park is not lit and not a good idea to walk across it and down steps in the dark. I just unlocked my car from a distance using the remote key, which turns the light son and lit up the car park. The passage may not be lit either.
The shower is very small with low water pressure. If you are, to put it bluntly, fat, then its not for, you. But it kept is fresh and clean and that is all we required.
We thought it was great value for four nights out of season

I had the on tap Lyme Regis beer and it was just too citrusy for me sadly. The brewery is a micro one so it's very small and didn't feel very welcoming. There was upstairs seating which also looked like it turned into a cocktail bar which was a good looking spot. But I wouldn't recommend the local beer I'm afraid.

Thank you for responding, manager. I was happy with my experience at Dinosaurland and my hotel. The view was beautiful as well and we thoroughly enjoyed walking along the promenade. I had a bad experience with my fish and chips at the restaurant, but my family enjoyed it. I was there with my father (a brew master) and we agreed that it didn't seem like there was anything happening in the vessels. If you see all of the reviews I have written you will see that most of the time I give very positive reviews, I just read up about your brewery and found it didn't meet expectations. The only thing we could do was buy beer that wasn't brewed there.
