I and my family ate in here in Nov 2016 . I was very disappointed in the dish I ordered which was a vegetarian squash curry , the dish itself was very nice but the portion was so small served in a huge bowl which gave the impression it was large , NOT SO . Why is it that many... More

I eat here regularly as I live nearby. The welcome is always warm and friendly. The food is first rate and very good value. I rate this as one of the top places in Dorset to eat

This was my first visit to the Pilot Boat Inn and it was no disappointment. Excellent range of Palmer's real ales. A fine establishment - should be even better after the refurbishment. The food menu looked superb - lots of fine foods from local producers. (Crediton, Bridport, Lyme, etc.). Plus, a superb view of the sea and promenade from the... More

The Pilot Boat never fails to impress. With friendly, efficient staff, great pub food, (you just have to try the fish and chips), a good selection of beers, plenty of tables without being overcrowded, and the perfect location near the beach, you really shouldn't miss this family friendly pub.

It's a rather unassuming place from the outside but the food is really good. We've been coming here for a few years now when holidaying in the area and we've not been disappointed yet. I think it may have changed hands or chef since our previous visit as the menu has changed slightly, there was no freshly caught whole plaice... More

Sat outside and enjoyed a great pint of Palmers Copper Ale served by very pleasant staff. Unfortunately the table we chose was directly above a sewer and we were hit with a very nasty smell of sewage just before we were about to order food (which we quickly changed our minds about) The garden area could be brilliant with a... After a long walk we needed some food and struggled to find anything open in Lyme Regis. A very pleasant welcome on entry and a nice selection of beers. A good choice of food on offer, don't forget the specials board. We had fresh hake and scampi, both good size portions and well cooked. Was nice to find a place... More
