The one week journey from Market Harbour north towards Leicester was pleasant enough but tiring through the locks due to the extreme heat 30+. Found some good stopping places and had some excellent meals. Particularly recommend the Navigator Pub/restaurant.

Our week on this narrowboat was wonderful. The boat was very clean, the bedding and towels were good. We motored up (and down) Foxton Locks, helped by one of the many voluntary helpers and it wasn’t nearly as scary as I had feared! We had...More

If, you need to unwind from the tensions of busy lives it can’t get any better than this. Who can rush you? Who can demand something right now? No one as your on the canals.

You really need to talk to the Union Warf folks - they, especially during the winter, keep special hours. I'm sure they will be as accommodating as possible.

Hi there are heaters on board some of our day boats but unfortunately we don't operate them in December - January as we have to do winter maintenance on them and the day light hours are just too short.
