Booked the river trip & meal - after a short cruise you were then dropped off at a local pub - The Malcolm Arms, for a carvery. A 2-course meal was included in the price with drinks being extra. The captain ( Rodney ) and lady skipper were very friendly and helpful. Despite a short shower during the trip everyone managed to stay dry and enjoyed a relaxing cruise. Excellent few hours and would highly recommend. We cruised on the Prince George boat.

Driving there: If you’re lucky, you can park in a few bays just in front of the Boston Lock Cafe, otherwise, we parked in Tunnard Street Car Park, which was £2 for pretty much all day.

Rodney and his staff were so welcoming, friendly and you learnt a lot from them.

We did the Wednesday river cruise to The Malcolm Arms on the Prince George. You can sit inside or outside on the boat. Very relaxing and picturesque views! The food at The Malcolm Arms was very nice with plenty of choice.

My wife and I were part of a group of six friends celebrating the birthday of one of our number with a boat trip out to The Wash and back. We started out not really expecting it to be anything special, well we soon came to realise how wrong we were, it was utterly brilliant.

All the crew members were smiley and friendly throughout, the boat was clean and it departed punctually. The only food served was bacon rolls and tea of course, but the rolls are deliciously fresh and contained plenty of bacon. The trip was fantastic and we will definitely be repeating the experience.

There was just one very minor niggle however. Standing behind two others in the queue to buy our bacon rolls it took ages, as the cheerful and pleasant staff were in utter chaos, not sure what to charge and what was ordered and by whom etc. etc. However the whole trip was so good I have no trouble forgiving them for that one and only issue which I mention only for balance.

Excellent value for money. Friendly staff, Rodney and his crew. Nice trip up the river Witham to Antons Gowt on beautiful Sunday afternoon. Followed by an excellent carvery at the Malcolm Arms. Cost £25 per person for the trip and carvery. Could not fault it. Highly recommend when visiting Boston. We hope to do the wildlife trip in November, warm clothing of course!

Lovely day, the boat is great, clean and comfortable, staff are so thoughtful and kind. Trip was straightforward, the river is long and straight with few if any landmarks, but we enjoyed it, the food at the pub was OK, standard carvery, pork was yummy, some may find it a bit boring, I'd say I felt relaxed and happy. Staff were super with our 2 year old, even when fractious on the way back and could even take pushchair with us, they even gave my daughter some money back as the pub had charged us for his meal, she was thrilled and we didn't ask for it, just so kind, restores ones faith in human nature!😍

Four of us arrived early for a 12.30pm departure. The whole experience was great! Over 20 years since I went fishing in The Wash. It is worth seeing the river view of Boston - taking an hour to get to Tabs Head at the mouth of the Haven. After a pause in The Wash we ventured up the River Welland almost to Fosdyke Bridge. At least 50 seals basking on the river banks. Birdlife include a very large Buzzard over the marshes (glad we remembered our binoculars). Beer and bacon baps available on board were most welcome! Arrived back at 5pm - fish & chips collected on the way home! Thanks to skipper Rodney and crew. Good value for a 4.5hrs boat trip!

Always a pleasure to go out on these trips with Rodney (captain). It could be the wettest or sunny day and your Always greeted with a smile and the crew are just the same even whilst preparing the boat for its next trip . Will certainly be coming back again . Thanks Boston Belle.

We visited Boston and thought this trip would be fun. To go up the river and have lunch at the pub then come back.
Due to the pub changing owners. The Boston Belle crew decided to put on lunch on the boat. They charged what the pub would normally charge. Wow! what a lunch. It had 3 different cooked meats pork pie potato salad coleslaw cheese pasta and a sausage in pastry. Dessert was home made cheesecake. What a wonderfull meal. Plus we got a complementary drink. Staff were so friendly and treated you like family. Can’t wait to go back again and do the sea trip.

Wanted a peaceful private river cruise for a special occasion. Hired the Prince George for 3 hours. Rodney was excellent as was his able assistant. Long may they continue. The weather was good and the trip was very enjoyable.
