I really wanted to see the film 'Sully' but did not get organised quickly enough and had to travel the 15 miles to Louth instead of my local cinema in Cleethorpes. Until recently I had worked in Louth for 3 years. Walking past the Playhouse Cinema twice daily, I confess to having made assumptions on the likely offering inside based... More

Great independent cinema with a choice of screens but still with the personal touch. Lovely Deco structure. Offers specials for children on Sundays and Senior Screen on Thursday mornings. Still has an interval too!!! Good value for money.

Always a nice welcome from the staff. Good selection of films. Ground floor screen is particularly nice. Never have to queue.

A lovely little cinema situated near the centre of Louth. Lots of nearby parking on road and carparks allows for easy access. While sometimes limited on variety due to its small number of screens, it makes up for it with opportunities such as play screenings and senior screen. Certainly individual and with a sense of character.

I regularly attend the Senior Screen showings on a Thursday morning, and have a thoroughly enjoyable time. Free tea or coffee and biscuits are available, and today, because there were no custard creams on offer, a member of staff sent her husband out to buy some. This is typical of the friendly ethos of the cinema, and was greatly appreciated.

We are so lucky to still have a cinema in the town. The Playhouse Cinema is a pleasure to visit. They show all the best up to date films. The cinema is clean and tidy and a good place to take the family. The staff are great.

This cinema is a Parkways cinema, however the seating is no where near as comfy as the Parkways cinema in Cleethorpes, yet Louth charge the same price ! Mablethorpe cinema is comfier and alot cheaper, On a recent visit, due to the way the drink holders stick out from the seats so I much I walked into one and really... More

I've watched a few of the National Theatre Live shows here in two of the screens (I think there's four in total?). The old fashioned exterior had always led me to assume it would be run down inside but nothing could be further from the truth. Inside it's very fresh and modern and the two screens I've been in are... More

A lovely small cinema that doesn't have all the chaos of a big chain modern cinema. The tickets are reasonably priced and all the usual offers are available. The films have an interval, perfect to grab treats or use the facilities, without missing any of your film. You choose your own seats and they are all very comfy.
