Courtyard room - good value for money - bathroom tired to be honest but for the price it was great - excellent meal at night - bikes were locked away safely overnight. We had just cycled around 60 miles to get there and arrived at 6pm - desperate for a shandy you can imagine how disappointed we were when the pub side of the hotel didn't open until 6.30 - lesson learnt - don't arrive mid afternoon and expect to get a drink. Apart from that for a basic overnight stop it was fine.

Booked a table here for 13 last Saturday - great idea as unbeknown to us there was a football game on tv - arrived early & saw the game (much to the teenagers delight) food was delicious, cooked perfectly. We had a mix of pizzas, steak, Thai Curry & everyone enjoyed their meals. Staff pleasant and helpful. Would definitely visit again if in the area & I would recommend to others too.

We had a meal here last night and it was great I had the sea bass to start followed by the porterhouse steak, followed by the chocolate orange tart. It’s a very clean and welcoming place, the bar is a bit noisy but theirs was a football game on. Over all a great evening 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Visited with family for lunch, first visit. Surprised to find how large the building itself was and the upstairs restaurant extremely roomy and well decorated. Food piping hot and served with seasonal vegetables. Two members had salmon and said was of good proportion but needed a bit of seasoning as the chilli and salt & pepper appeared to be minimal. Of the desserts offered, 2 had the chocolate tart, 2 sticky toffee pudding and 1 cheeseboard, one cheese being black, never seen this before but told it was delicious as were the desserts. Lovely staff who were attentive and informed
