Tripadvisorā€™s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

You can only see the true magnificence of the horse from the air. Because of where it was formed there is nowhere that you can get a view of it all from ground level. Big disappointment

I have visited the show today and paid Ā£29 entry for two adults and one child.I have been to a lot of shows in my time and this is the bottom of the list absolutely rubbish and how they can charge this amount.I do not know.
People leaving after 45 minutes as they cannot believe how rubbish it is.This show should be free entry the show on Saturday in Shrivenham was far better and free entry cannot believe it .
Never go again and Iā€™m sure a lot of others will not.
Catering van rubbish and cannot even get a decent coffee what are these people thinking about not in the real world.spoiled my Sunday.

Uffington offers a very ancient White Horse on the hillside, a dragon hill and the remains at the top of the climb a castle, what's not to like, car parking nearby, well worth the climb

Lovely part of the Oxfordshire countryside. Easy walking along the rideway, with plenty to see including the Uffington white horse, Wayland Smithy and the Devil's punchbowl. Lots of good pubs in the area as well which is a bonus!

It only loses a mark for the rather expensive car park, but that seems to be the norm nowadays.

Walked past sheep to the Uffington White Horse and to Waylandā€™s Smithy. Hard to find toilets, as no portable toilets in the parking lot, even though we paid for the parking. Had to drive to The White Horse pub in Uffington, wasted 20 mins or so.

The White Horse, Uffington Castle, The Ridgeway and Wayland's Smithy are all close by and make this place fantastic. We revisit whenever we are in the area. Love it here.

Beautiful spot, great place to walk and relax. Dog loves it here, the ridgeway is a great place to go in each direction, nice that there is the old castle on top (obviously nothing left now)

No toilets available and so I had to get back into the car and drive to the white horse pub!
Whilst the walk to see the white horse was very scenic I was disappointed not to be able to see the white horse in its entirety. A blue rope prevented you from getting near to it. I also walked to Dragon's Hill to get a good view of my surroundings which was nice. The steps can be tricky to negotiation as they were very deep with lots of loose gravel on them, handrails would have helped my partner who is partially sighted. It would have been nice to have some more seating available, there was one picnic table in the car park.

Whitehouse Hill in Uffington is the site of the famous White Horse chalk figure. The figure itself was fenced off when we visited, but there is a great circular walk from the National Trust car park that takes in Uffington Castle (iron age hill fort), the White Horse itself walking from above the figure and down its left hand side to Dragon Hill and the Manger below. A very good couple of hours with the benefit of being free (other than the Ā£4.00 daily car park fee). Well worth a visit !

We visited today and were unimpressed. The car park was expensive and offered no toilets or any other amenities. The nearest loo is apparently at the local pub in the village below and then in Wantage which is miles away! We took a picnic as this area is mentioned on the web as a nice place to eat, what a let down. We were dodging the cattle poop like landmines and the nearest bench had the stench of a rotting manure pile. After a short cold walk around not seeing the horse at all, we decided to go back to the car and eat our food there staring at the stinging nettles.
