We hired one of there boats for an hour and had an amazing time exploring the Loch and towards the sea,there health and safety was brilliant with a walkie talkie if you had a problem,Frank gave us the heads up with the boat then off we went,absolutely loved it 😃

We hired a self drive boat on Saturday and had a brilliant time. The views were amazing as we made our way around Loch Gairloch. For two nervous novices the friendly guys at Glendale Boats made us feel very safe with the reassuring safety instructions before we left and the walkie talkie provided for contact to shore if needed, plus all the other safety equipment, life jackets etc. It was a very memorable trip and one that we plan to repeat. Highly recommended for an exciting, fun and enjoyable experience.

A great day out, thank you.
Visited last week with my 3 sons and we had a great experience, ended up doing 3 hours!
Team in the office where fab, briefing great and all loved it, even caught a fish!

My teenage son and I hired a boat for an hour to have a ride around the loch and it was really good.
The guys in the office were super friendly and really helpful and safety was paramount.
We were supplied with all safety equipment including life vests, radios, flares and first aid kit.
We had never driven a boat before so one of the guys came out with us to show us how to do it then he was picked up by another boat.
Had a really good time and would definitely recommend it.

Steve took myself and my Granddaughter out in the ex MOD for a trip this afternoon, what a fantastic time we had, Steve is just brilliant. great fun not to be missed. Thank you Steve.

MUST DO experience! Absolutely wonderful to see the views of gairloch and mountains from a different viewpoint. Felt safe, great safety briefing and the guys at reception were wonderful, funny and welcoming.
We did the self drive for an hour and was fantastic value for money! Dog was even onboard, with her own dog life jacket. You have got to do this!

Passed by on our NC500 tour in our motorhome and stopped off at the harbour. Came across Steve at the Glendale office and got chatting. He showed us the boats and we decided to go out. I’m soooo pleased we did. This was an amazing experience! No better way of getting out on the water than to drive your own boat. Everything felt safe and Steve and his brother, ‘Uncle Albert’ looked after us well! We saw seals and cormorants and couldn’t believe how quickly the two hours passed! This is a ‘must do’ activity on your visit to Gairloch!! Highly recommended!!

Highly recommend the ex MOD boat trip at Gairloch.
During our hour trip we learnt a lot about the history of the area and saw seals very close to our boat. Extra fun ride back to the harbour. Staff very friendly and informative great trip.

Turned up on the off chance of a boat trip and were able to arrange a trip on the ex MOD boat with about 20 mins notice.
Staff very friendly and happy to tailor the trip to suit our six year old (a bit more wildlife spotting and a bit less local history).
Saw seals and seabirds and learned lots about the local area. Spectacular views!
We all loved the last section where we sped back to the harbour doing a few twists and turns in the boat.
A great hour spent and well worth the money. Please note it was cash only when we did it (although the post office in the harbour is able to provide if you have your debit card)

We inquired about a boat trip for 2 adults and 2 kids and had a very nice chat with the guys at Glendale boat hire in Gairloch, plus a fair warning that the weather forecast was not very good for the proposed date. We postponed the trip to another day and then went to the recommended places for fishing around Gairloch bay and the fishing was very successful, great fun for the kids. We had a fantastic day. Great service and very friendly people. Highly recommended!
