A lovely insight in to Gairloch in times gone bye. This is lovely centre and well worth a visit. The section on "sleepy time gal", was where I spent most of my time. A very sad story about an American heavy bomber that crashed near...More

Spent an hour enjoying this museum, staff were very friendly! I loved rock info as the area has such ancient mountains. Used to be joined to North American landmass millions of years ago! Loads of other stuff to read and view! Please support with a...More

The geology of this area is indeed fascinating. Upside down mountains, and some of the oldest rocks in the world! We are glad you enjoyed the museum. Thank you very much for leaving us a great review.

Very well presented compact collection, focused on local history. Fascinating light house exhibition. A real gem. Soon to be moving into all new premises, but really suits its current location.

A lovely small museum, full of interest and variety. I particularly enjoyed the light from the lighthouse, the display of knitting equipment and the Pictish stone. Well worth a visit.
