We booked Ewe Canoe after reviewing a couple of local kayaking operators and the consistent positive reviews, underlining the expertise and knowledge of Conor as the lead instructor. All comms prior to ouro visit were polite and courteous, with any questions answered quickly and with all the right information. On arrival we were given a friendly brief and Conor gave ua a good overview of the equipment and kayaks, including presenting us with a choice of vessel. We chose the sit-on top kayaks and after a briefing on basics, including all safety equipment and fundamental paddling skills, we entered the water in thge main bay of Poolewe. Conor guided us to 3 main points on our journey round to a couple of bays, where he delivered guidance on different paddling skills which included a couple of games. These were great for developing confidence in the kayak and build confidence. He was very knowledgeable, beyond paddling skills and provided insight into the types of edible seaweed and wildlife in the area. We all got a lot of the day and learnt more than expected in relation to paddling skills, which were added value. Rather than just show us the very basic paddling skills, he built-up a variety of paddling skills at different points, enabling us to acquire the various skills throughout the afternoon. Overall, a really enjoyable experience, confidence inspired by a clearly professional instructor who was very knowledgeable and also had a good (dry!!) sense of humour. Highly Recommended. Cheers Conor!

Tim and I had a great morning out with Conor this week... a year to the day after our last excursion. Conor good-humouredly dealt with our inability to remember anything that he taught us last time! We both loved the trip, felt totally safe, and enjoyed the privilege of being able to see inaccessible parts of the Gairloch coastline. We'll do some revision before our 2022 outing with you Conor!

We loved our kayaking experience! We woke up to a grey, wet and windy morning, but were really excited about our kayaking trip so got ready and went out to meet Conor. Once we had determined our capability we set out in Gairloch harbour and learnt a few techniques to help us on our way. As we headed around the coast and back, the waves further out got a little choppy but Conor was sure to check we felt safe kayaking (we were loving it), so we continued but Conor was very patient with our slow speed back to the harbour. We had a few sightings of curious seals which was very cute. Overall, and despite the poor weather, we had a great morning and it was really worth every penny. Conor was funny, extremely knowledgeable and down-to-earth and would recommend a trip out on water with him with no hesitation.

We had a great time kayaking with Connor from Ewe Canoe this morning at Gairloch Harbour, would highly recommend. A great experience, incredibly relaxing in a stunning setting There are a selection of boats to choose from, the pros and cons of each are explained. Connor is a great instructor and gives a brief tutorial on how to paddle and control the boat giving you enough confidence to get around on your own. Connor is a lovely chap and highly knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna.
