The gardens are beauiful at any time of the year it is very secluded an absolute delight to behold. The beach is exceedingly close and the village itself has an old fashioned charm.

The house is having a chequered time, but the gardens are good for a stroll. Especially as they lead straight onto the beach with a coastal footpath.

The gardens in themselves are not special, but the views of the house make it worthwhile. From the gardens, you can walk straight out onto the beach and the coastal walk, where there are picnic tables as well as the rocks.

We went to the gardens primarily to park the car and get access to rigg bay. The gardens are very pleasant but the beach although a bit rocky is fabulous

We used the picnic tables at Rigg Bay for our lunch stop on a tour around the Isle of Whithorn. A lovely spot popular with families and dog-walkers.
