A fascinating place with each bay being themed. So much stuff reminded me of my grandparents. So much to see. A few more labels might have helped relate it to the area. However that is but a quibble. A real slice of social history.

We went to the museum to dodge the rain but it's a great little musum with very friendly staff. I'd say it's well worth a visit even when the sun's shining. It is packed with interesting items from long ago and also more recent times.

We went here on a wet afternoon. This is an extremely eclectic collection of objects, roughly in categories crammed into an old church. The volunteers were very friendly and had quizzes for the children to complete which helped to focus them while looking around. The...More

A small entry fee is charged for this independent museum and it's opening times are limited out of the busy season. Some larger items are stored outside with limited interpretation. A statue of 'Old Mortality' is a prize possession. This old church has been adapted...More

Hi DavidS. Many thanks for your kind review and glad you enjoyed the Museum. Should warn others that unfortunately we do have to charge £3 to adults and 50p for children (towards the utilities). All our staff are volunteers.

Easy to while away an hour or so browsing through the eclectic collection - there is something for everyone. An interesting insight to the local area. Well worth a visit.
