Corrieshalloch Gorge (Ugly Hollow in Gaelic) is a fun stop that doesn’t require much more from the visitor than a short walk and an appreciation of nature at its most dramatic. The gorge is about twenty minutes outside Ullapool and well-marked. Park in the fairly...More

A bit scary on the bridge when it swings but the natural attraction is fab with a sheer drop of about 50 m and a lovely waterfall. Well maintained path and not too far to walk.

Impressive views and a pleasant walk around the gorge. The snow fall that morning made it very picturesque.

Stopped at dusk en route to gairloch from Ullapool. Amazing views of gorge and very atmospheric. Unfortunately our dog was too scared to go over the suspension bridge so we couldn't go to the viewing platform. Lovely walk anyway.

Fabulous scenery from the top down to the bridge. Bridge does have a weight restriction on it as it is so old only six people at a time to cross it although most people only go half way across to get good photos looking down...More

If you're going through to Ullapool, then you have to stop at this gorge for about 30mins. It was made years ago and its over a mile long but its super deep as well. There's a footbridge that crosses the gorge, even more fun for...More

Hi. William. As Lorr says it is a very steep path up and down to the bridge. The bridge itself can be challenging if more than six people decide to ignore the signs and all decide to cross it at the same time. To be... More

With time allocated for sightseeing and the obvious extra effort required for the return "climb" allow 30 minutes. The nearest facilities are in Ullapool a 10 minute drive away.
