This is for those people that get it. If you want a sanitised Centreparks experience forget it; if you want to enjoy a safe but adventurous trip with someone who knows and understands these waters, then this is for you. You have to go with the flow (literally)- this is the Western Isles and plans have to be adapted to... More

Like the reviewer of 24/7/2016 we were also greeted by a Barking dog rushing at us. It tuned out to be friendly but initial thoughts were it might bite. Not a good way to greet customers. We travelled from South Uist having risen at 4.30am to catch the Ferry from Berneray following a one and half hour drive. Session was... More

Dear Ron, I'm sorry to hear that you feel like this after me cancelling the session for safety reasons. Other bits of water might have looked calmer, but unless you have the local knowledge off wind and tidal currents it can still be very dangerous. Some patches of water would have been calmer and fine for kayaking for 30 min... More

We received e-mail advice prior to our holiday about the type and length of kayaking day based on our experience and family ages. There was no hard sell, just sound advice. The day was rescheduled without problems due to weather conditions. Once on the water the trip was excellent and we all felt safe. It proved to be one of... More

I walked to the door and was greated by a dog charging at me barking. I had a bad experience with dogs when I was younger with dogs so seen I was scared i closed the door to stop it getting to me and I am sorry for doing that but I don't get along with dogs. When a person... More

I would definitely recommend Harris Outdoor Adventure to anyone who is thinking about sea kayaking but perhaps a little fearful, and/or not that sporty, although I am sure more experienced kayakers would be happy here too. We had a great morning's sea kayaking as a couple with Bart, who is reassuringly safety-conscious (he also volunteers for the the local lifeboat),... More

A morning of sea kayaking was an absolute treat. As part of a group of six, I had a great time. Bart ,the tutor, is approachable, informative and really gets over the message. Felt safe throughout, even when I fell in, and am now anxious to do it again...somewhere. Great trip , seeing seals and the stunning Harris seascapes. Cannot... More

We first had some fishing rods from the center. But we also got hints and maps where to fish, where to sleep and where to see seals as an extra. We had a great dinner after fishing - because the hints were perfect. The day after we went X-sailing, which was so much fun! Sitting in your kart and pacing... More

Seven of us of varying levels of experience went on a sea kayaking tour with Bart. He was very accommodating of those less confident and overall an excellent and very knowledgable guide. We got up close and personal with some seals and kayaked around the coast for around three hours. We were given all the equipment and gear we needed.... More

Fantastic experience X carting for my husband & two children aged 11 & 13. Bart was relaxed, friendly & informative with the safety info at the beginning & was on hand whilst doing the carting on the beautiful beach. All loved the experience and would love to do it again!!
