Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Poor experience, stopped from watching a movie because of no proof of age while asking for ID at the age of 15

Nice friendly local venue for films and live touring shows. The bar and snacks are really great value for money compared to mainstream cinemas.

First visit for us and we were impressed that this facility is available so close to home. We were seeing a film - seats are comfortable with plenty of leg room. I don't think it had been cleaned since the previous day as there were tickets from the previous day on the floor along with some sweet wrappers. For me the sound quality isn't great - its too quiet and the surround sound is poor. Not sure its the right venue for films but a live performance (plays/music/comedy) would probably be great.

How fantastic to see a thriving theatre in a small town. Forget cineworld, Theatr Mwldan is the place to go. Comfortable seats, a good sized screen and great sound. Ticket prices are very reasonable, and you don't need to take out a bank loan to buy a drink and a few snacks.
Well done Theatr Mwldan!

There is a good café in Cardigan where you can eat too.The tourist information office is there too. You can sit, have a coffee and browse through leaflets and brochures . It's very quiet and peaceful, there are plenty of tables and people to ask for information.

What a pleasant surprise.

For all of the years that I’ve been passing through Cardigan I’d never once visited Theatr Mwldan. I’ve known it was there the whole time, but if I wanted to watch a film I generally go to one of the big multiplexes as I had a vision built up in my head of a pokey little cinema with everyone gathered around a 14” TV. However, we had a couple of hours to kill in Cardigan so went to watch Solo on an afternoon showing last week. And you know what, the whole experience was extremely pleasing.

I’ve almost grown used to being extorted out of £15 per person to watch a film and nearly the same again for a small tub of cardboard flavoured popcorn. It was a refreshing experience then to find the tickets cost half of what I’m used to paying, and the food was also of good value and quality. The theatre was welcoming and the screen that we watched the film in was a good size and I didn’t notice any difference in viewing experience that I would from being sat in an Odeon or Showcase. Now I know what the theatre is like I will be looking to return again very soon.
