Great place to spend a short amount of time. Lovely original art work available to buy from local artists.

Something to wander around
Sep 2020 • Couples
A nice place for a wander round although not brilliant lighting and a bit grubby in places.
Dog friendly though.

Thank you for your review. It's a very old building and impossible to keep pristine, but watch this space. New refurbishment coming next year.

only place we found for souvenirs

lots of stalls, antiques, haberdashery, army surplus , wool, lots to browse, and the only place we found that sold welsh souvenirs!

Lovely variety of stalls and proucts
Sep 2020
Set over 2 floors this indoor market provides a really good variety of stalls from crafts to everyday bits and pieces that can be hard to find elsewhere. We particularly liked the syrian food stall, good value and gorgeous food. We missed the cafe, it had just closed but again it was offering something different. Overall well worth a visit

Rude vendor spoilt our visit
Aug 2020 • Family
Very rude woman in charge of the wool shop told my daughter off very aggressively when she went in. 'You can't come in I've got someone in here you'll have to wait'. My daughter hadn't seen the sign saying only one customer allowed. There was no need for this. Spoilt our trip to an otherwise lovely little town and interesting market. We won't be back. If you can't be polite to your customers you don't deserve any.

Social Distancing Rules are strictly enforced in Cardigan Guildhall Market, which is why we have the lowest infection rates in the country. I am sorry that your daughter didn't see the signs but in these times it pays to read the signs and obey the rules.

Hidden Crystal Cave of Wonders...
Jul 2020
Amazing little find during our stay in Cardigan. We found this by chance and then my wife discovered Totem (Basement Floor), which is an amazing little store selling crystals and incense and other amazing items. We must have spent a small fortune there, but everything was very reasonable priced & Jo the owner was very kind & knowledgeable and knew exactly where her crystals were sourced! Most are sourced from Madagascar : )
There are other stores there selling antiques, jewelry, wool & textiles...

Be Careful Where you Park!
Nov 2019
centre of the town you have this vast guildhall. for us it did very little, perhaps we visited on the wrong day (November) when many stalls were already closed. Perhaps, it was because the 1 hour spaces around the town are NOT a safe place to park, given I was witness to the bus that took the wing off a car parked legally near to the guildhall then he carried on, don't think the owner is going to be pleased!. I would suggest November is NOT a good time to visit this attraction, given so few traders were around at the time of our visit. this is also one of those places were the "Big Issue" is still sold by folk who don't speak much English and don't look very Welsh!

Thank you David. I think you were unlucky on the day you visited as most of the reviews will show. However I am a little concerned by your comments about our refugee big issue sellers. - And how can you tell if someone is Welsh just by looking at them anyway !

A brilliant morning in Cardigan including a visit to the Market
Oct 2019
We visited this Market about 2 years ago when touring Wales. We revisited in October 2019 and again found the many stalls interesting and varied. A great way to spend an hour or two out of the rain, it was certainly raining when we re-visited in early October 2019 ! :-(

Visiting Cardigan
Sep 2019 • Couples
My husband and I went to visit Cardigan for the first time, we came across the Guildhall Market so decided to wonder around. Not worth the bother really. I definitely wouldn't recommend it.
