Overlooking Barmouth from the hill above the town is the Cathedral-like St John's Church. Open daily for visitors and worshippers its majestic and awe-inspiring interior is truly worth the walk. Come and see its amazing C E Kemp stained glass windows, marble Font and an amazing array of carved angels and the Reredos screen.

It's a bit of a walk to get here, being steep, not for people with wheel chairs / strollers. It's open most days and once inside, it's so peaceful. Can sit down. there is water and toilets. Good view overlooking barmouth.

Beautiful church, well worth the walk up the hill. A calm and peaceful place to spend a moment in this busy town. The lady who was caring for the church was very welcoming and enjoyed talking proudly about it.

What a spectacular church high up looking over Barmouth and so lovely when you walk inside. It is certainly worth the walk up to it, although it doesn’t actually take very long. It seems a very large church for the size of the town. I...More

Bit if a climb but well worth it this is a wonderful church built to accommodate all the Victorian tourists. Nice touch to provide a hug of water and some disposable cups for all us thirsty tourists.

A church high on a hill, but well worth the trek. The church dominates the town so it's easy to find.
