For that vintage seaside atmosphere of candy floss and donkey rides, set up your deckchair in the section closest to the town. The Blue Flag beach is never overcrowded and also has trampolines, bouncy castle and pirate ship during the Summer. If you want a quieter space for your picnic and to be closer to the sea, then venture further along the one-mile long promenade perhaps using the land train which runs the length of the promenade.

Lovely long stretch of beach. Lovely soft sand. Not at all overcrowded because it is such a long stretch. Water is clean and clear. There can be found the usual english seaside fare donkey rides, chip shops, fairground, few pubs and restuarant all you need...More

Beautiful place. Stayed over night. Lovely beach and the water was so clear. It was like being abroad. Everyone was friendly too.😊

Lovely clear warm water but a bit of a trek to the sea. Shame people can't take their rubbish away with them though.

We had a day out at Barmouth and enjoyed the beach. It is a nice sandy beach and the sea when the tide is out, is one hell of a walk! Beach was clean and is backed but sand dunes. A number of cafes and...More

This is a very nice beach but I went for a quick visit on the hottest weekend this year and it was impossible to move anywhere. Definitely not set up for loads of tourists as parking was appalling - even if I wanted to stay!

Why do people treat the beach with such disrespect and more particularly why does no one go around picking up the disgusting litter people leave all over the place. Dirty with cans and plastic bags everywhere. Impossible to park and road / parking rage kicking...More

Soft sandy beach, right opposite the car park. Nearby is the RNLI boathouse, worth a visit. Donkeys on the beach, trampolines and fun fair.

When I visited with my partner he spotted someone having a bbq on there in the dunes it was a disposable one.
