About
“Bodelwyddan Castle Trust regrets that it can no longer allow public access to Bodelwyddan Castle and Park, including the woodlands, parklands, play area and trench experience. This is due to on-going financial pressures facing the charity that have resulted from the withdrawal of funding support by the local authority. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”

Amazing

Just returned from a fantastic 80’s weekend with my family to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. So much going on to keep you entertained or alternatively a stunning location to relax and do nothing! Food was amazing but best of all were the bar staff. We loved the happy hour pre dinner drinks with table service where these young lads appear to start the afternoon moving onto a drinks service during dinner whilst still covering the pre dinner bar only to then find them working into the early hours of the morning in the cabaret bar where they absolutely made our stay! They were polite, fun and couldn’t do enough to help, keep up the good work lads and thanks for a wonderful holiday!

Me and my partner came across this stunning place entering Wales and seen it from the road so we went to investigate and see if we could look around the grounds, wow so beautiful, would love to stay here the night. did look at the prices, very expensive but you would expect it to be. definitely worth a look.

Phenomenal and service.

I happened upon Boddelwyddan, and stayed to tour the grounds and its remarkably-preserved gardens and WWII practice trenches. During my brief visit, I encountered a delightful lady, Caroline, who works there as a housekeeper. She was incredibly welcoming, and took the time to give me a brief history of the castle and point me towards some of its public, external attractions. An amazing experience.

It was so lovely situated in its own grounds. Our accommodation was à superior lodge with parking next to the lodge. Food was terrific, entertainment was good.If I had to find tiny fault it was having to pay for coffee and tea with your dinner.

Beautiful castle

The grounds are lovely with wildlife, even deer if you're lucky enough to see them, we did!

The grounds are currently closed to the public, unfortunately, as the estate is up for sale. Wonder how that will affect the Warners hotel?

Wow, do I need to say more

Brian and I went with our local coach company -DJ Thomas. From start to finish we had a wonderful holiday. The castle is lovely. Our room was immaculate. The food very good. (Personally I was not struck on the breakfast, but every one also seemed to enjoy them). The staff could not do enough for you. The only snag was the entertainment. Every night we had the same group. They were just so so. The other entertainment was good, but I think they should bring in different different acts other than singing. This is our second Warners holiday, and we will carry on going to their hotels.

Weekend at Warners

Castle is next door to Warner's Hotel. On previous visits to hotel you gained free entry. Castle is currently closed and up for sale, about £1 million if you have the cash. Check before setting off, as observed many visitors disappointed when they arrived and found it shut.

Unfortunately the castle is closed at the moment. We spoke to a lady who belongs to the castle trust and she said they are currently looking for a buyer. She has no idea when it will reopen.
