During the First World War Bodelwyddan Castle was part of Wales's largest army camp, Kinmel Camp. The WW1 Trenches Experience will take you back to The Great War Era, and is our living memorial to honour the men who passed through Kinmel Camp at that time.

Highly recommended Accommodation excellent Food excellent massive choice every meal even for my veggie wife Staff polite friendly and efficient Recommended visit to castle museum which we spent 2 hours revisiting historical past of castle including world war 1 /school days

The Castle is now a holiday complex, that is open not sure about the actual castle though. Sorry can’t be better help, enjoy your visit, the grounds are open!
