    Great place to paddle board.
We visited so that my teens could go stand up paddle boarding on the lake and were delighted to find that the lake itself and the cafe were a perfect spot to spend a couple of hours. Massive praise to the staff running the water sports activities, they were friendly and welcoming to all but were rigorous in their attention to detail regarding safety and keeping an eye on all those out on the lake be it on a dragon boat or a canoe as well as offering encouragement and guidance. The rental rates were also very reasonable. The cafe serves great coffee and fabulous ice cream.

    Lovely walk, cafe, lake.
A lovely walk and cafe with good dietary options. There are boats, pedalos, paddle boards for hire on the lake - the staff were friendly. We went as a family group of adults with one infant. Great day out.

    Paddleboarding, lakeside restaurant.
Stunning location, staff were knowledgable, helpful and fantastic. We took 6 kids and 8 adults paddle boarding. They kitted us all out, looked after us and made sure everyone felt very safe. Cafe is a lovely spot and the food drinks were a welcome addition. Blankets for those watching was an extra welcoming touch. Thanks again!

What a lovely little park/lake! They have pedal boats in the shape of dragons (£10 for 30 mins, £18 for 60 mins) which are great value as well other water based activities that can be hired (paddleboards, kayaks/canoes). There is also play parks, grass areas for picnics and mini golf. The staff were all really young but ultra friendly, the cost of items in the shop and ice creams were very good value and entry to the park and parking is free! What's not to like!!!! An absolute 'must visit' if you are in the area and have half a day spare.

Me and my husband visited with our 3 children (6,4 and 2) and we all had fantastic afternoon. The walk around the lake was 1km so perfect for little legs, but are plenty of other walks off the lake. Lake seemed well maintained, toilets were clean but in need of an update. The path was flat so accesibke for pushchairs and wheelchair users. The cafe served lovely ice creams with a range of dairy free options available and the staff were friendly. Very lovely gesture of blankets being put out for people to borrow,, and option of feeding ducks at £1 for a large cup. The children's park nearby was also lovely. We had a great afternoon and would visit again

We visited the lake park on our way back from a holiday in North Wales. It was great fun for our 3 year old for. We stopped for a couple of hours, but could probably have made a day of it if we had the time. We enjoyed a go on the pedalos, on some bouncy castles which had been set up by the cafe, on the excellent playground, feeding the ducks, and ice creams. Everything seemed reasonably priced to me.

Walking around the lake one spies the Welsh version of the Loch Ness monster. Why? A variety of waterfowl on the lake. All the way round the lake there was a mother on her phone to her sister about a family argument. She was virtually ignoring her young daughter, except shouting negative remarks at her…don’t do this, don’t do that, don’t step her, don’t step there. What a way to treat a child whilst taking them on a walk…. virtually ignoring them, little encouragement, not pointing out the swans etc.

This s eason 2022 the lake has a new company who seem very switched on running things.
There are kayaks, canoes and paddle boards on the water.
Bicycles to hire on dry land and a shop with ice creams etc.
There is also a nice cafe with an extensive menu where the less energetic can sit and watch the lively enjoying the activities.

A great place for recreation with a cafe with viewing point, the ability to go on the lake in pleasure boats when available, a fantastic Welsh Dragon sculpture, and walks around the Lake. There are also the overgrown ruins of St, Cradoc a Celtic church which whilst has explanation boards has a bramble overgrowth. there is ample parking, it is on the top of a hill but its good exercise to walk.

The lake walk is pleasant and in the main wheelchair accessible. The Cafe is a lovely stop off to view the lake. The food is good and it has a varied menu and a alcohol license. Noticed that prices seem to have increased., We had 4 sets of sandwiches and a coke a lager, 2 J2O's and a coffee which came to about £35 so just under £8.00 a head. Staff polite and efficient. The only minor issue I had was that the bread of my sandwich was already slightly hard when it arrived at the table but still very nice.

Good - Nice lake to walk around with plenty of birds to watch, then have a nice cup of tea and cake in the cafe overlooking the lake.
Not so good now - There is now a one way system around the lake for vehicles with a wide cycle lane. This makes it difficult at times when busy, for coaches and larger vehicles traveling around with the parking.

Excellent family day out at the lake. Grandchildren loved the play park and the bouncy castle followed by building sand castles in the huge sandpit. A picnic by the lake then a go on the pedalo’s. We ended our visit with ice cream, cake and a cold beer for the grown ups on the cafe balcony overlooking the lake. There was just enough time for one more go on the bouncy castle. What a wonderful time we had.
