Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Though some parts of the walk are quite nice, with decent views on the valley, other parts are on the main road. Just before the waterfall is a car park and from that point on, it feels like walking on a pedestrian highway. The waterfall is quite nice but hard to appreciate with so many people around. The water is clear and fresh, so it’s nice to dip your feet in while you take in the view for a bit.

Beautiful waterfall. Parking area close by for folks who don’t want to hike. Part of the trail is combined with roadway so it can be dusty ( like all Argentine roads ) - beautiful once it gets off the roadway . Closer to 5-6 miles round trip

Very easy to reach even by not experienced ones. The first step in our trip to El Chalten.
A good way to break the ice for the Fitz Roy... The next step!

Only an hour hike (flat) through the forest from El Chalten gets you to this lovely waterfall. We visited after a lot of rain and it was unbelievably powerful. All well signposted and if you have a car you can drive to within a 5 minute walk (although you miss out on a nice walk beside the river)

Easy and mostly flat (you have to climb a bit from the lower waterfall to the Chorillo del Salto) walking that everyone can enjoy. It’s approx 3.5 km one way from the start point in El Chalten.
We were also lucky to see condors flying just above our heads when we were approaching waterfall!

This is easily accessible from town. The walk offers sweeping valley views as your follow the river. Once into the woods you’re sheltered if there are winds. At the falls you can enjoy your lunch, take lots of pictures etc. The falls themselves are about 150” high and...well...its a big waterfall so it’s pretty darn awesome.

The waterfall is really pleasant and ideal for photos but it is accessible also via a short walk from a car park nearby so it does attract more visitors than other areas - i walked from town for about 1 hour to get there before the crowds and from 8.30am had the place to myself as people started to arrive from 9.30 onwards

This is a short drive from El Chalten, and a short 1km hike each way. Nice waterfall with spots to have a picnic or jump in the creek. On the way to Lago del Desierto

Only a short walk form the city. You take the main road and can choose to walk the road or small pathes boarding the mountiains. The waterfall is very beautiful. The little lake below it has clear and fresh water. If you dont want to walk you can reach the place by car, and walk just 5 minutes to the fall. A good and pleasant place to visit.
